I was there!!

These massive shows of the 70's are long gone. Were loads of fun. In addition to Alice, Sha-Na-Na, the Tubes, and Nazareth (really excellent), the Kinks also appeared, but unfortunately are not on this tape. It was hosted by Flo and Eddie (formerly the Turtles), who introduced among others, a guy jumping into a mountain of flaming boxes, a neat trapeze act where a guy on a bike with a girl underneath, rode from the field to the top of the stadium, AND the Amazing Randi escapes from a straight jacket hanging upside down from the big "A" scoreboard. On this tape you can see the Tubes do a rendition of Love Will Keep Us Together (yes, Captain and Tenille)and This Town, (a superb rendition of the Frank Sinatra song). Nazareth really stands out with their hit, Love Hurts. An outstanding day! You really got your $12-worth in those days!!

Warning: Spoilers
This is the video released in the 80s that contains the infamous "Chicken with Machine Guns" number and a lethargic Alice who really doesn't want to be there. The show starts off with a seemingly content Alice doing "School's Out", then cuts to Nazareth, Sha-Na-Na. and the Tubes before going back to Alice. Most of the songs Alice does are incomplete, some as short as a minute. He mumbles through "Billion Dollar Babies" and forgets the lyrics in "I Love the Dead". In the latter song, when the executioner makes him put his head in the guillotine, he shouts "I don't want to, I don't want to". Hard to tell if this was part of the script or not. Nazareth sings Love Hurts, and Sha-Na-Na, which covers 50's classics like "Yakkity Yak" and "Leader of the Pack", is the most fun to watch.

Warning: Spoilers
I've watched the film the other night, reminded me of ,hypno, The Show-Caster of Bellmont Graze. Anyway, At ,sympatico.ca, I got the stuff right trough it. Ready to rumble they say, and the show started, really a fantastic piece of live, biographicalicus footage, and this old Cooper-dude we all like. Sad that he's partially gay, i'd ask him to prone.

(There's really an awesome scene in the show, when Alice scream "I'm caressing my man-hood at the moonlight!" Full of uber-scene like this. Anyway, i'm not spoilers poo poos, so just rent it, or whatever.

Cooper's side man ,Andrew's is really in ,contact with the crowds.

,please Have a good aday. Gollum.
