The FilmCow channel is best known for creating the Internet classic that is Charlie the Unicorn, but its first Kickstarter campaign concerns another project altogether. Creator Jason Steele needed fewer than four days to reach his funding goal of $18,000 for a feature film based on his Detective Heart of America character. Detective Heart Of America stars a toy eagle who is also an American detective who loves America and wants to make sure everything in American stays American and doesn't get corrupted by un-American evildoers. This surreal version of Team America: World Police first played out in two shorts released this year, and with Kickstarter funds secured, it will soon continue as a feature film to be released for free on YouTube. Detective Heart of America was able to reach its goal thanks to FilmCow's 900,000+ YouTube subscribers and a personal endorsement from Charlie the Unicorn himself. With more than three weeks left in the campaign,...

Lynne Ramsay's film depends for its impact on a growing distrust and fear of masculinity
By fairly common consent, We Need to Talk About Kevin has a hole at its heart. "Why?" Tilda Swinton's Eva is still asking her eponymous son in the film's closing minutes. She's had 18 years to work out the answer, so what chance have the rest of us in a mere 112 minutes?
Kevin's response isn't much help. "I used to think I knew; now I'm not so sure," he ventures. That could mean he was out to punish his unfeeling mum, but has come to wonder if he went a bit too far, since he's now prepared to submit to a hug. Or it could mean something else entirely. It wouldn't be the first time that he's strung Eva along.
This refusal to assign a clear motive to the instigator of the action is...

Sam hasn't seen the man before, his name is Jim Miller (Cameron McDonald). Sam pretends to be Sgt McGready over the phone using the number plates from the car to get an address. Saginaw, Michigan. Jim is already dead when they arrive and a woman thinks it was suicide. He seemed normal an hour or two ago. Sam wonders why he has premonitions if he can't prevent them from happening. Dean thinks it could be nothing supernatural. Sam believes he was murdered by something, he watched it happen, something trapped him and he doesn't know what's happening. Matt Dallas (Kyle Xy) actor-writer-director Steven Grayhm and Twilight’s Charlie Bewley are teaming up on a films titled Thunder Road. THR reports that the story "explores the difficulties many U.S. soldiers face upon their return to civilian life from active duty in Afghanistan."
Here is what Dallas had to say about the proejct:
"We have challenged ourselves to capture the most honest and accurate depiction of a soldier's journey without forgetting those who are indirectly affected by the full spectrum of this war."
Here is what Grayhm said:
"The inception of Thunder Road came from a place of deep empathy and humble curiosity since hearing our former President declare war over my radio that evening in March 2003. I found myself continually checking the minute-by-minute updates online as the invasion began and have had a difficult time coming to terms with the fact that I, just like my beloved...

Quoth Uwe Boll:
talks about that Auschwitz teaser and the interesting point is that 90% of that "Journalist" still judge me based on House Of The Dead and Alone In The Dark they totally ignore that I made More Movies about Real Worldwide Problems and good movies as everybody else ...from Heart Of America , Seed, Postal, Rampage, Stoic , Max Schmeling and Darfur
If a journalist calls himself Journalist then they should do their job properly and do their research.... why Rampage and Darfur and Stoic getting great reviews from the people they saw them ..why a Ron Howard and Amnesty International think that Darfur is nothing less as a masterpiece ...why over 30 festivals world...wide invited the movies...why they are sold in 100 countries If I'm So Bad ...blablabla...
its time for all the joblos, twitch, dreadcentral , aicn ...etc.. to Grow up and recognize that they have no clue what...

Wow, this is troubling. The above screencap is from a teaser trailer for an upcoming Uwe Boll film entitled Auschwitz. In it, Uwe Boll plays a German officer guarding an Auschwitz gas chamber. Hit the jump to see the entire teaser for the film, but please note that it is strictly Nsfw. A site called Ninja Dixon (via Twitch) purports to have a quote from Boll describing his vision for the film: It's in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, Tunnelrats, Heart of America...it shows Auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans...a death factory. For those who have no idea what he's talking about, Boll is referring to some of the other, rarely-seen films in his filmography. What follows is the teaser. Prepare to be disturbed. It feels like everyone on the internet is collectively already piling onto this one, and why shouldn't they?...

Wow. I really don't even know what to say about this. Uwe Boll isn't really known for making good films, and he's made a lot of bad decisions in his career, but this is probably his worst.
Boll has made a film called Auschwitz in which he himself plays a Nazi officer who is guarding a gas chamber full of Jews in mid-execution... wow. Boll said in an interview:
It's in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, Tunnelrats, Heart of America...it shows Auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans...a death factory.
It's one thing to make a movie about these events respectfully and tastefully like it's been done many times in the past. But it looks like Boll turned it into an exploitation type film. The trailer for the film looks like a grindhouse movie!
It's always been fun to joke around about...

I miss the Uwe Boll that made bad video game movies we could at the very least laugh at. I much prefer that Uwe Boll to the morose Uwe Boll who now mostly makes movies that wallow in human misery - prison rape, Vietnam savagery, Columbine-style massacres, African genocide - and now he's making a movie called Auschwitz graphically detailing the horrors that went on in that most notorious of Nazi concentration camps.
Twitch broke the news that Uwe Boll has made a movie about one of the greatest horrors in human history. Quoting Dr. Boll:
"It's in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, Tunnel Rats, Heart of America...it shows Auschwitz as what it was: a meat plant for humans...a death factory."
As opposed to all those other Holocaust movies over the years that made Auschwitz seem like a happy place for Jews?

Uwe Boll is still pumping out his movie, only now without big Hollywood stars or big budgets. His latest is a film called "Auschwitz" about the Nazi death camp. Speaking of the movie, Boll said: "It's in the tradition of my movies 'Stoic,' 'Darfur,' 'Rampage,' 'Tunnelrats,' 'Heart of America' ...it shows Auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans... a death factory." Today, we have a teaser trailer (not safe for work) for the movie, showing Boll wearing a Nazi uniform while he is standing outside of a gas chamber filled with naked people about to be murdered and then cremated. Watch it below. Teaser (Nsfw): If you cannot see the player, click here.

In a career marked by bad decisions, this is surely the worst. Uwe Boll has made a film titled Auschwitz in which he himself appears as a Nazi officer guarding a gas chamber full of Jews in mid-execution. I know this because it is in the teaser. Says Boll himself on the topic:
"It's in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, Tunnelrats, Heart of America...it shows Auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans...a death factory"
Now, a serious treatment of Auschwitz is not a bad thing. But it is the sort of thing that needs to be done exactly right without a hint of exploitation. Which is pretty much impossible coming from a director who routinely jokes about funding his films via Nazi gold and fills his first teaser with images that come off feeling much more grindhouse than arthouse.
Throughout his career...
