Ho-hum look at porn production
lor_21 October 2010
Self-reflexive story lines are quite common in porn films, and this is no exception, an okay if not memorable navel-gaze at the porn industry.

Most of the action (and I mean sexual action) takes place in the cheap-set posing as offices of a porn producer, the walls adorned with circa-1971 film one sheets ("Vanishing Point", "Something Big" and "Bless the Beasts and Children" for example).

With ad libbed dialog, the film bogs down in various sex filler -masturbation, casting couch-type action, and even an orgy, with little sense of continuity. Unlike such large-scale porn exposés like DEEP JAWS or STARLET, this little quickie had no budget to develop its premise.

The cast is impressive, with fine turns by Darby Lloyd Rains as an aspiring actress with fake North Carolina accent, Heather Ellis as the British wife of the producer and Judy Craven, looking more like Shelley Duvall than ever. Soundtrack is annoying, playing the same generic rock music over & over.
