It feels as though we’ve been waiting for ages for our first look at director Steven Spielberg’s handling of Tintin, themuch-loved character created by Belgian artist Hergé. And now, courtesy of Empire, the first images of The Adventures Of Tintin are here.
What’s immediately striking is the level of detail in each shot - it may be computer generated, but it’s a world away from the stylised aesthetic of Pixar. The characters are still recognisably Hergé’s - Tintin still wears his trademark quiff, while Captain Haddock looks as grizzled as you’d expect - but the decision to make them look so life-like is a surprising one, and we're looking forward to seeing the characters in motion to get...

In town to promote this weekend's debut of "District 9," filmmaker Peter Jackson shared some details about another project he's serving as producer for—and the sequel that he'll be getting behind the camera to direct.
"The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn" is based on the beloved comic strip with a global (and loyal) fanbase, and chronicles boy journalist Tintin's globe-trotting adventures. Jackson is serving as producer on the first film, with Steven Spielberg in the director's chair. The pair will reverse the roles for the sequel, and Jackson shared some details about where they're at with the current film and what fans can expect to see in the follow-up.
"[Spielberg]'s just finished his cut, which he's showing me when I get back home next week," Jackson told MTV News.
The filmmaker acknowledged that, despite being a worldwide phenomenon, the character created by Belgian writer/artist Hergé...
