Apart from the special mention by the Cannes Film Festival jury in 1971, the film won several other film awards:

It was shown at the 1971 San Francisco International Film Festival as a short feature preceding The Policeman (1971).
Author Simon Vinkenoog introduced the film in a promotional leaflet as follows: "Can we still, like the child, bouncing like a marble, let our imagination run wild, a life full of color and fireworks ahead, leaving all chases far behind?".
De Telegraaf and De Volkskrant newspapers reported that the premiere of the short movie at the 1971 Cannes Film Festival was greeted with both applause and boos.
