When I first learned about this movie, and saw the cast I immediately started making arrangements to get it. I thought it would actually be about a trip to the moon, like the classic silent short from 50 years ago, but according to some screen caps and the huge variety in the cast costumes I started to dismiss the idea... "Living on the moon" is Mexican slang that means "being a little crazy". So, in this movie a couple of comedians trying to hide for a short while, end up in a Madhouse, where they are mistaken as crazy people, and after seeing all the characters actions, they try to escape, but one of them falls in love and that just makes everything a little hard... This movie is really funny and in a word: UNIQUE!

This movie is First of all very..but extremely hard to find..and i got it in my collection, this movie is one in a million from comedies in mexico from the 1950´s, This is a cleaver surprise,The story is not so big but the cameos on it make it all worth it,Mr. German Valdez "Tin-Tan) Viruta y Capulina, Chabelo y Gamboa, El loco Valdez and many more, exquisite comedy served on a huge dish where Mr.Sergio Corona and Mr. Alfonso Arau welcome a lot of comedians in situations that are funny and good.
A hidden gem of the Mexican comedy

I am not going to tell you that this movie is excellent. What really makes this movie a GEM is that it reunites in a single film a whole generation of comedy stars. I wish I had this movie in my collection, I've seen it 3 times, NO MORE, once 35 years ago when I was 12.
Performances of Arau and Corona are worth mentioning, but look for a myriad of stars, among them are: Vitola, Viruta y Capulina, Tin Tan, Chabelo an many more!!!
If you have this movie, I will buy you a quality copy for 20 bucks, no jokes.
