A good slice of street mores and violence in West African cities and a window onto the cultural influence of US Street gangs in African slums. Sensitive direction for the first commercial effort by this director and solid acting make this worth a special effort to see. But because of the realism, it is not a "feel good" movie.

Well acted movie, the direction was great as well.
The characters were so real and so convincing.
The film is about 2 friends Touissant & Nixon in a ghetto in ivory coast who in a bid to get a better life and security join a gang and engage in numerous crimes such as robberies, smuggling, etc.
The only problem I had personally was the fact that it had no English translations, and translation was only french, as they were speaking a French pidgin/creole known as nouchi which is spoken in the ivory coast. So I had to use my personal discretion to understand the dialogue, otherwise a great movie.
