Just over a month ago, Sami Zayn’s Road to Redemption came to its epic culmination. After a fantastic battle with Adrian Neville at Nxt Takeover: R Evolution, everyone’s favourite flat-cap-clad superstar finally won the “big one” and was crowned Nxt Champion.
But despite this, Zayn isn’t yet the household name that he realistically deserves to be. As such, there’s still a fair bit that we don’t know about him.
Herein lies the problem with Nxt. Of course, I’m being exceptionally picky here—we all know that there’s nothing inherently wrong with Nxt per se. In fact it’s pretty close to perfect (never change, Nxt, never change). But the fact remains that without a spot on network television, the Floridian developmental territory simply doesn’t get the same kind of publicity as the Raws and SmackDowns of this world.
Consequently, guys...

From the annals of reality show nightmares comes the tale of how Viacom had to spend millions of dollars after the MTV reality series T.I.'s Road to Redemption showed a dead man's body during its premiere episode, titled "You Are Responsible for Your Own Actions." Viacom doesn't believe it's financially responsible for what happened and has taken the Axis Insurance Company to court to get the firm to reimburse its legal costs and reach a settlement. The complaint, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, provides some detail about what happened, while a 2011 story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Watch the first footage of Captain Hook in action! No wonder that crocodile is so obsessed with Captain Hook — he's kind of a babe! Once Upon A Time fans got their first look at Colin O'Donoghue as the pointy-handed pirate after the show's Sept. 30 season premiere, and they immediately responded with the same idea: the dude is pretty. In terms of historical pirate beauty, Colin bears a much stronger resemblance to Johnny Depp than Dustin Hoffman, and I don't think fans will complain. After all, aside from Robert Carlyle's unfortunate-looking Rumpelstiltskin, aren't most of the Once villains kind of hot? (I'm specifically pointing a finger at Lana Parrilla as Regina and Kristin Bauer Van Straten as Maleficent.) What's your take on Once's version of Captain Hook? Prison doesn't totally suck ... at least for T.I. ... because TMZ has learned, sales for the rapper's clothing line skyrocketed while he was in the pokey. A rep for Akoo clothing tells TMZ, the company's sales soared by 25% in the last year ... while the rapper served time for drug possession. T.I. is halfway home. After being sent back to a federal lockup on August 31 — just as he was making his way via luxury tour bus to a post-jail facility — T.I. has now been cleared to finish the remainder of his 11-month sentence in an Atlanta halfway house as originally intended.
On Thursday (September 15), the rapper's lawyer, Steve Sadow, told MTV News that Tip is currently in the halfway house, where he will remain until September 29. If all goes according to plan, the Atl rapper will have completed his current prison bid for a probation violation that stems from a September 2010 arrest for drug possession.
"[T.I.] went through a disciplinary hearing held before the 'Center Disciplinary Committee' (composed of Community Corrections-halfway house-staff) who recommended that he be returned to the halfway house,...

Blindside me once, shame on you. Blindside me twice, shame on me. Blindside me three times? That's what it's coming to on Survivor.
The reality series comes back for Season 23 with two new returning favorites, Oscar "Ozzie" Musth and Benjamin "Coach" Wade, in tow. But after the success of Heroes vs. Villains in 2010 and "Boston Rob" Mariano's applauded Road to Redemption last spring, recruiting beloved former players for another tour of duty is becoming standard practice for the aging competition series. But is it really the right move? As much as we enjoy watching the Russell Hantz's and Jerri "Black Widow" Manthey's have to face (and sometimes apologize for) their past power moves and manipulations, are these familiar faces really adding to the game or detracting from it? We look at three reasons it's time to throw the vets' buffs in the fire once and all...

In the past, many rappers have taken a hiatus from their music careers and thought the next obvious step would be to conquer television. Whether it was finding love on a reality show, kicking ass and fighting bad guys in a crime drama or moving in with their auntie and uncle in Bel Air, this transition either went really well, really badly or so terribly it was hilariously good.
In light of Tyler the Creator’s just-announced new show "Loiter Talk," which is coming to Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim in 2012, we have decided to take a look back at some of the rappers-turned-tv stars that have graced our television screens.

There's a reckoning that needs to happen before you surrender to authorities for a jail term. Whether you're a celebrity or an average Joe, affairs have to be put in order, plans need to be made, and goodbyes have to be said.
But if you are a celebrity, there may also be a lot of business you have to complete before surrendering your freedom. And with Lindsay Lohan less than 24 hours away from reporting to a Los Angeles jail to serve a 90-day sentence for probation violations, it's worth noting how other celebrity inmates spent their final hours before going in.
Lohan is expected to serve only 23 days of her sentence, due to chronic overcrowding...

He’ll be staying in Atlanta for three more months — but ladies, please don’t try and visit.
Wow, we can’t believe T.I.’s seven-month jail sentence is already up — it seems like just yesterday we were watching his “Road To Redemption” series on MTV. The rapper was released from prison in Arkansas today, and is expected to move to Dismas Charities Atlanta West in Georgia, where The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports he’ll be living in a halfway home for the next three months.
When his time at the halfway house is up, T.I. will still have to do 500 hours of community service and will be under home incarceration for 23 days. He was arrested in 2007 when police discovered the rapper sent his bodyguards to buy silencers and machine guns. Earlier this year, he was sentenced to 366 days in the Forrest City penitentiary.

As advertised, T.I. made one of the best works of his career and surpassed just about all his peers in sales and accolades. Though it probably spread a bit of joy among T.I.'s fans, recent reports that the rapper will only serve two months of his one year and a day prison sentence are inaccurate.
When The Associated Press reported on Sunday that T.I. — due to report to the Forrest City low-security federal prison in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 26 — had been given credit for 305 days of home detention, "so his stay at Forrest City prison will likely be only two months," the news agency may have misread the sentencing report. The story has since spread on the Internet, but according to Charysse Alexander, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia, it is not accurate.
