Better In Show
Finally, Mock-u-mentry that brings to it a truth and a comedic nature, without the crafty unnatural writing and crisp filming if your standard film such as the recent Best in Show, or Waiting for Guffman. This genre has waited long for a visionary film to demonstrate at its best, a quality movie concerned with its content and its unique perspectives and not with how much money they can spend or what actors they can cast. Lights, Camera War! is a new and valuable representative of good independent film-making. It asks that we all readjust our focus on the gigantic productions hollywood churns out expecting its audiences to shell out $8.00 a ticket, and instead offers an excellent portrayal of student production that is hilarious and brilliant and does not require groveling and paying homage to the media elite. If you want a movie that shows how everyman can conquer all, while supporting the Willie Loman-esque distopia of the American dream, then you need this movie.
