A pretty film, showing the determination of a high-spirited girl to discover whether both her lovers wanted her or her money. Donning man's attire she goes to the tavern frequented by the men and involves herself in a duel by slapping the face of one of one of her suitors because or remarks derogatory to herself. Some interesting situations are developed in the effort she makes to extricate herself from the unpleasant predicament into which her escapade has plunged her. But in a series of interesting comedy scenes she succeeds in accomplishing it and the film closes with the course of true love flowing smoothly again. The picture is admirably worked out, the actors entering into the spirit of the picture with exceptional discretion and acting it as though they were really interested in the matter themselves. The mechanical department was careful in its operations and a film which if technically good and pleases the audience has been produced. The Solax Company has been doing good work recently and this is not the least of its accomplishments. - The Moving Picture World, December 24, 1910
