Walter Forde is a sneak thief. He steals movie star Pauline Peter's handbag and later becomes involved in her latest movie in this amusing short comedy.
In terms of film-making it is a moderately primitive comedy for 1922, with a style of film-making that would have been up-to-date in Hollywood half a decade earlier. Forde is a low-key comedian among a cast that overacts a bit. There are some funny bits, especially one gag which involves smashing prop plates over his head.
Forde, who co-directed this film, later would retreat behind the camera entirely. he would enjoy his greatest successes in the late 1930s and early 1940s directing comedy features such as CHEER BOYS CHEER and the Inspector Hornleigh series. He would direct his last movie in 1949 and die in the early 1980s.
