A version of importance.

Who would have thought that an Argentinian film could so marvellously capture the spirit of Oscar Wilde? Luis Bayon Herrera's version of 'A Woman of no Importance' is a delight from start to finish. When Mecha Ortiz delivers the final immortal line 'A man of no importance' one fully expects an audience to applaud and the curtain to fall. Ortiz sometimes gives the impression of one who is disengaged but in this she is in sparkling form and is more than ably supported by Santiago Gomez-Cou and the fascinating Golde Flami. As there are no sub-titles alas it certainly helps to know the play.
