In a strenuous and uneven battle to eliminate the genetic factor in schizophrenia, Eleni Stavrianou, the traumatised but brilliant young psychiatrist, is devoted to the case of her chronic schizophrenic patient, Christina. But to make matters worse, in a futile attempt to alleviate Christina's burden, the compassionate doctor will come face-to-face with the patient's family, who are utterly convinced that salvation will only come through an exorcism and the power of God. Nevertheless, as poor Christina plunges deeper and deeper into the unfathomable depths of insanity, the sceptic Eleni, too, will start challenging her very sanity, succumbing, little by little, to despair. Are the good doctor's fears justified?
