Winnie the Pooh has been a childhood favourite for goodness knows how long, and the series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is no exception, to this day I feel it is still one of Disney's very best series. I have always loved how elegant the animation is, the beauty of the music, how the writing has the ideal balance of humour and sentiment, the lovable characters and the simplicity, childhood innocence and more importantly likability of the stories.

Working Together is not the very best of the Winnie the Pooh video collection. I do consider Detective Tigger, Cowboy Pooh, Helping Others, Sharing & Caring and especially Making Friends better videos mainly because all of those videos contain one or two of my favourite episodes of the entire show. That said, it is such a great video and has everything and more that makes The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh so great.

"Shovel Shovel Toil and Trouble" is an episode that is both amusing and whimsical. I just love Gopher in this show and episode, he is not my very favourite character(that's Tigger) but he is a great character with some great lines and inspired delivery by Michael Gough, not to mention the sight of Gopher in a tuxedo(you'd think he actually married the shovel) and deserves more attention. The animation and music are wonderful, as is the writing particularly "Is this a slumber party?/No! Somebody stole Lucille."

"Tigger Shoes" is a more than ideal episode for fans of Tigger. The animation has beauty and fluidity, though I wasn't sure whether blue is the normal colour for cabbage, and the music has energy. The story has plenty of heart as well, with another case of Tigger being misunderstood and Rabbit having to learn from his mistakes but what's special here is that this theme is still done in a fresh way. The writing is again often very funny with the likes "Oh, accidents only happen when Tigger is around, and I've got him gone for days/Hey Rabbit!" standing out.

"Easy Come Easy Gopher" rounds Working Together off, and those who like or love Gopher will love it. Gopher is on top form, and all the characters, as charming as ever even Rabbit are aided by droll dialogue and a sweet story. I have enjoyed always the quality of the animation and the music and I still did here.

Overall, a great video with an awesome Gopher. 10/10 Bethany Cox
