Great to comment...Great to print the still photos of Bobbie on her bio
cellinitwo27 December 2002
I write western historical novels etc.....this movie was short on realism...acting ok....dialogue ok.....some of the gunfights had poor sound of gunfire....lots of action and quick quick quickly dead...bang bang bang....great to watch and have cheese and honey on toast with hot cocoa or peanuts or popcorn and a brandy-seven and no wife near to watch a man stare at Bobbie.....

Did I mention Bobbie Phillips???....Oh my Lord Harry...She is and has some of the more ...most beautiful sexy-dramatic-mannerisms...MiGod what a woman to watch.....Watch this for her alone if nothing else...she is amazing and I have her bio picture to inspire me to write about beautiful heroines . Arnie AKA Armand............I'm in love!!!!!!and I've been around more than seven decades now.

If you ever get a hankerin' to watch a bad movie, this should be it.
MN4EVR1 December 2003
Seriously, don't you ever just get in the mood to spend a weekend watching bad movies that you only know about because you've just spent an entire hour perusing the shelves of your local video store, you see the bad movie in question and say to yourself, "Well, the picture on the box is HOT, I like Westerns/Mysteries/Horror Films, etc..., I've never heard of this before, so it must be crap"? Well, if you do, this could be just the movie for you.

I have to agree with my fellow reviewer, with the exception of Bobbie Phillips nude scene, this movie is just plain awful, but I liked it just the same. This is the kind of movie you have to watch while you are in the right frame of mind. You know that it never got a theatrical release (hard to believe with the likes of M.C. Hammer and Bo Svendsun co-starring), you know that they don't make westerns like they used to and , because of that ultra-flattering picture of Bobbie Phillips emblazoned on the cover, you know that you are going to get to see a beautiful woman naked. With all that in mind, why WOULDN'T you choose to rent this movie?

So, in summary, this is a BAD movie with some HORRIBLE acting and a BEAUTIFUL female lead. Only rent this if you've got nothing better to do and are in the mood for one of the worst movies you'll ever see. If you watch it knowing what you're getting into, you won't be disappointed.

Cheesy b-fest movie
reb-warrior17 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It has nice scenery and good-looking leads, Hudson & Philips. MC Hammer is in it. Lol. Loved that guy back in the day. The acting isn't that great. Hudson is charismatic though.

The story is weak. The woman, Cheyenne stole her husband's money and has run away. The husband, Starrett, played by Bo Svenson(who probably did the best acting) hires Jeremiah to track her down. He also hires backup Haddox(played by Hammer). The direction sucked. A lot of time is spent running around and riding horses around. There are some gun fight scenes. Jeremiah and Cheyenne fall for each other. There is nudity(Philips) and a lovemaking scene. Pretty much it turns into a bad western romance novel.

Everyone looked awkward and uncomfortable in their western gear and walking around in the rough terrain under the heat of the sun.

The ending with Cheyenne holding a gun on Jeremiah was stupid.

This is a very cheap cheesy b-fest movie with a boring story. Too many cliche western moments and cliche types of "the old west" people. However, it's a lighthearted movie and easy on the eyes. Kind of ok for a drift-off to sleep thing. A lot of reviewers seem giddy over Bobby Philips, her looks, and seeing her naked. Lol. Ok, there's that if that is what gets you going. But if that is the only reason, you may as well just fast forward to about halfway through. I saw this on Tubi. 3/10.

Please, Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em Anymore With Your Acting
NoDakTatum22 November 2023
M. C. Hammer, his do rag, and his razor wielding little person sidekick are just a couple of aspects of this awful, inept western. Cheyenne (Bobbie Phillips) runs away from jerk husband Starrett (Bo Svenson) and takes all his dirty gun running money with her. Bounty hunter Jeremiah (Gary Hudson) comes to town, is framed for stealing a horse, and almost finds himself swinging from a tree. Starrett makes him a deal- find his wife alive, and he will get a thousand dollars. Jeremiah rides off to look for Cheyenne. Haddox (M. C. Hammer) and little person Razor (Robert Bell) arrive for the job, and Starrett makes them the same deal. Why? Starrett has Jeremiah out there, why bring in another bounty hunter? Keeping in the proud modern western film tradition of automatically trying to sexually assault all female characters, Cheyenne is attacked in a cabin by a bunch of fat guys and Jeremiah saves her. He ties her up and heads back to Starrett. Haddox finds out they are together, and rides out after them. How? Cell phone technology was nonexistent, no one knows they are together, so who told Haddox? Cheyenne has hidden the money, and she and Jeremiah grow closer, bickering and bantering like a Kate Hudson rom-com, pursued by Haddox.

At one point in the movie, a character spies on two other characters, with binoculars, from the top of a very high cliff. The problem is, when he looks through the binoculars, the director has the binocular point of view from the bottom of the valley on the same line of vision as the two characters getting spied on. The amateurish music score is often so loud, it drowns out dialogue. Hammer smokes a cigar and wears western wear but the costume is too big so he looks like a ten year old playing cowboy. He also holds and smokes his cigar like Sister Mary Catherine of the Perpetual Sorrow discovering her first Pall Mall. Svenson lends some weight to this piece of foul breeze, doing his best with an impossible script. Bobbie Phillips has awfully white teeth for a kept western woman, but her frequent nude scenes will soon distract you. "Cheyenne" proves that anyone can make a movie if they have access to a three hundred dollar budget and an all day group pass to Monument Valley. Making a GOOD film is the ultimate challenge, and "Cheyenne" fails.

Very fun Western. Must See.
rickblain2011 March 2006
I enjoyed this Western immensely. It's clearly a low budget film, but I give whoever made it a two thumbs up! The lead is very funny, like Mel Gibson, the girl, Bobbie Phillips is hot, and it's a Western. What's there not to like.

The plot is about a Woman who leaves her husband because she does not love him. He then hire s bounty hunter to track her down and bring her back, of course the bounty hunter falls in love with her.

To make sure she gets back to him he hires another bounty hunter, MC Hammer as back up with his side kick, a little midget. It's all good stuff, no one makes Westerns anymore, if you want to have some fun and look at Moab Utah scenery which is where John WAyne made all his films, enjoy Cheyenne.

Great popcorn film!

Cheyenne
Lynda1l23 August 2002
I must tell you that when I watched this movie for the first time, I was hooked. I love westerns and action movies. This movie should be given two thumbs up and a ten plus more than excellent. The banter between Mr. Hudson and Ms Phillips was wonderful. I was lost and didn't want anyone to disturb me when this movie was on. I loved, loved, loved it. Where has Mr. Hudson been? And why isn't he up there with Tom Cruise and all the others? I'd watch his movies first. I loved the scenery since I had been able to visit it once before. Mr. Hudson is a bounty hunter after his people in this movie but shows us a tender and caring side to him too! Hurrah for this movie. The other cast members were great too. Mr. Svenson, Hammer, and his partner. This is an excellent movie. And I will watch it over and over whenever it is on again until I can find where to purchase it. I wasn't disappointed. The way Mr. Hudson's thick molasses voice issues in the movie with a sensual note to it is captivating. This is a really good movie!!!!

Bobbie Phillips is The Only Reason To Watch This Movie...
Schradercar361 November 2002
The Movie has a VERY simple plot...Woman runs away from husband, bounty hunter sent to track her, bounty hunter falls in love with her, husband furious but still wants her back, woman has to make a decision. The ONLY thing that made this movie worth watching for me is the appeal of Bobbie Phillips. Not only is she striking to look at, she's just fun to watch. Her mannerisms and attitude in this film make the B-movie quality not only bearable but as if it was meant to be filmed that way...I doubt that it was, with the poorly executed gunfights, etc. The bottom line for me is that I found it entertaining because I enjoyed "Cheyenne".

Bobbie Phillips is the reason to watch...
tropicthunderhead10 October 2002
As usual, Bobbie does a great job! She's not only beautiful but a remarkable actress. Bobbie shows a spunkiness and vulnerability in this role which is Very different than the butt-kicking "Chameleon".This modern-western is not a Great film but is worth watching for the chance to see Bobbie in what will probably be her only Western...unless Westerns make a comeback...doubtful. I give this an 8 out of 10 for a TV movie and Bobbie's endearing performance.

Great Western with a Terrific Plot
cddavis4925 October 2010
I saw this title on the Western channel and it hooked me from the very beginning. The relationship between Cheyenne, played by Bobbie Philips and The Cowboy bounty hunter is reminiscent of Midnight Run. Only in the latter there was no love scene. It looks like they shot the film in Monument valley, which makes it's visually compelling. The acting is very good, with terrific performances by all the supporting players. The gunfights reminded me of the old fun spaghetti westerns. Look for the great scenery and enjoy this film. Also, I was surprised to see MC Hammer play a bounty hunter with a cute midget side kick. If you like Westerns, check out Cheyenne.

There are two reasons to watch this western........
BRUROX812 January 2020
And they both belong to Bobbie Phillips! If you want to watch a western classic, rent The Searchers. If you want a fun 90 minutes, including the beautiful Bobbie Phillips in full naked mode, this is the one to see!

It plays on the ENC!
griffic-216 December 2003
I could swear that I originally saw this movie a few months ago on the Encore-Western channel with the awesome Bobbie Phillips in a nude scene...but I tried to watch the movie again this past week and that scene is no longer there!!! This movie is so bad that Bobbie's stunning "endowments" are the ONLY thing going for it! Given that it's an ENCR channel, why in the world would you edit they take it out?
