"A Free Ride" or "A Grass Sandwich" is an American live action short film from 1915, so this one is already over a century ago. Looking at the names who made this, I would think that maybe it was a prank and is more recent and people just made it look like such an old movie, but I see it is also included as part of several films from the 1970s actually and I guess you can see that the date is indeed accurate, which makes it one of the earliest adult movies in existent. We see a man have his way with two young women while they are on a trip to the country side. Maybe they just altered the names because the makers would probably have been in big trouble if they found out their identities. After all, there was no open-mindedness when it comes to nudity in films back then. To show you how old this is. The film actually was made around the time World War I started. So yeah, no elaborations on the cast and crew possible because we don't know who they are. But looking at how hundreds of porn movies are made each year these days, you can definitely say that it was a bit of a trailblazer and way ahead of its time, even if the story is admittedly pretty weak. But they do know that female body parts were already more interesting to look at than males given the seconds/minutes each cast member gets displaying their "preferences". All in all, a thumbs-down though. Only worth watching from the film historian perspective.

Stumbled upon this film when I was surfing on the Net a few weeks ago, and being ever grateful to the person who included the IMDb link for this film, I knew the interesting bit of fact that this is the oldest surviving pornography film ever in the United States.

Like a child staring at the cookie jar on the table, I was tempted to take a look at the film, and to know what was it all about, and how was pornography different than it is now.

The film started with the cast, and I was giggling at the cast name. They didn't use their real name, but used nicknames. So you have some funny names being used, i.e Will B. Hard. LOL The film wasn't not very long (it is only about 10mins) and there weren't any dialogues (only intertitles).

I laughed at how they tried very hard to remain unrecognizable, like the guy who wore fake moustache and the girls wore long wigs.

Nothing to interest the pervert people who watched pornography for some weird intentions, but is okay to those who are just that little bit more curious about the film.
