Waterfall in the Catskills (1897)
This Edison film runs right around thirty seconds so obviously one shouldn't be expecting some sort of story. What we basically have is the camera set up at the bottom of a waterfall and we see the water splashing down. Yeah, there's really not too much that actually happens in any of the films from this era but with that said even this one seems to be extremely lazy to say the least. It's almost like the cameraman decided to sit down and take a break and noticed the waterfall so he filmed it. There's certainly nothing overly special here but fans of these early movies will still want to take a look.
