Before watching "The Last Grave at Dimbaza" I thought I had a pretty good understanding of how apartheid in South Africa looked like pre-Mandela. I didn't. Not by a long shot. This horrible - brilliant, but horrible - dcoumentary on apartheid in South Africa circa 1975 highlights the contrast between the living standards of whites and non-whites in South Africa and the disturbing politics of its government. Today we know that things ended up... I don't want to say "fine" but at least "decent" ...in South Africa, but this documentary ends on a sour, depressing, there's-no-hope-for-mankind note. Seeing "The Last Grave at Dimbaza" made me sympathize a hundred per cent with Mandela and other freedom fighters of the time. White South Africa and its government in 1975 were f#&%ing d#%&s!!!
