LONDON -- Veteran Spanish director Carlos Saura will pick up a lifetime achievement award during this year's European Film Academy awards, organizers said on Thursday. Saura will be honored at the European Film Awards on Dec. 11 in Barcelona for "his outstanding contribution to the world of film," said organizers.
