A Very Funny and a Very Fun Game
moosewarrior25 June 2006
I just bought this as a used game from one of my local video stores and I love it! It's got everyone's favorite South Park characters, all original voices (Including Isaac Hayes as Chef), and it is absolutely hilarious! Some people say the controls are a little hard, but once you get used to them, it's a very fun game. The plot of the One Player Mode is that evil Turkeys come to invade South Park and you must protect the people of the quiet little mountain town as Eric Cartman, Kyle, Stan, or Kenny. Not only is it fun in One Player mode, but the multyplayer mode is also blast to play. You can be anyone from Terrence, to Chef, to Starvin' Marvin, and they even have Kyle's Canadian brother, Ike as a playable character! Go and buy this on Amazon if you are a fan of the show or if you aren't. You won't be disappointed!

Filled with charm and humor, South Park may be fun for fans of the show, but others might find this adaption bland and repetitive.

South Park is a really interesting game, it's a better game than you think. South Park best quality is being super faithful to the TV-Show. It's chock filled with references and laugh out loud humor that made the show so special in the first place. The weapon selection is pretty creative too, like Nerf guns, plunger slingshots, dodgeball, and classic snow balls. South Park gameplay is where it's at its worse, at times it can be fun and engaging as you run through a 3D South Park as the 4 main boys and defeating the enemy's. On the other hand, the game sometimes feels like it's repetitive and mindless. The environments can be dull as well and can feel like a horror games. Overall, South Park will be best enjoyed by fans who are in love with the series, but for a causal, it might be best to stay away.

better than you think

"South Park" is a 3-D style comical romp through 4 epsoides of the hit TV show. The game basicly has you playing as either Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and of course..Cartman. Battling through Four epsoides, trying to stop a comet from hitting the town. While the games control factor is not that great. It does however dilever some strong 3-d graphics, and a good story line. I recomend this game to all "South Park" fans, but if you hate the show. Leave it alone.

Underrated and fun

Rated M For Language and Violence.

As my username may tell you, I am a very big South Park fan! I have seen every episode at least twice, plus the movie at least 10 times and I know a LOT about it. Of course when I knew there were three games for the show, I had to play them, no matter how bad the reviews were. This is for the N64 version of South Park, which has a 5.8 on 10.Not too bad but I think it is very underrated. It's actually one of my favorite games! Even if you are not a South Park fan, it's a fun and entertaining first person shooter with some very funny cut-scenes. I have been playing this game on and off for months now and I have finally beaten it yesterday. The plot of the game is pretty strange. It starts out with a comet coming to earth and the four south park kids with the help of chef must stop it. However for some reason(it's unexplained), there are mutant turkeys, aliens and killer toys you must fight. In the game you usually alternate between Stan, Kyle, Kenny or Cartman depending on which weapon you choose. The weapons are fairly original and funny and you have alternate uses for all of them. You main weapon is a snowball and your alternate use is to urinate on it before throwing it, you also have dodgeballs, toilet plunger guns, sponge dart guns, warpo guns which shoot tiny sharks and alternate uses have lasers that bounce, exploding terrence and philip dolls, chicken's which are used as sniper rifles and shoots eggs, an alien warpo ray(from the episode "Cartman Gets An Anal Probe" and finally a rocket launcher that shoots cows. Very unique and strange weapons in this game. The graphics are fairly good and the gameplay is fun. After readin the reviews, I thought this game was going to suck, but it turned out to be a fairly fun, good game. I'm not saying this because I am a south park fan because I disliked South Park Rally. Chef's Luv Shack was not all that great either. Overall, if you are a south park fan and you can find this game, play it! The game is rated M, but it is definitely one of the most tame M-rated games I have played. There is some strong violence with blood in the cutscenes, and some mild profanity(the heavier profanity is bleeped out like in the show).

An dull waste of time and money
VynnyWard5 January 2000
PC VERSION: For me, this video game had a lot going for it; I've been enjoying the TV series for some time and I loved the recent movie, plus this game is a first-person-shooter - a particular favourite game type of mine. So I should have been all set to thoroughly enjoy the antics of Comedy Central's animated fab four. Unfortunately, the programmers singularly failed to capture any of the South Park magic. There's no story per se - you simply wander around shooting turkey after turkey (or any one of the few tedious 'bad guys') using a variety of orignal yet boring weapons - actually you may as well use the infinite snowballs as the game is just so easy. Occasionally you'll meet a larger 'boss' who's predictably easy and mind-numbingly tiresome to kill, and then it's onto the next uninspiring, graphically identical level. Sure, the eye candy is extremely true to the SP series and the leap into 3D is a pleasing one... but once you load up the game and play for a few minutes you realise that the game is a hurried, repetitive waste of time that leaves you feeling very conned. Quite how this game got released is beyond me! Did Matt and Trey ever play it? What an apalling use of such a fantastic license. Respect my authorat-a and AVOID!

Excellent!

Warning: Spoilers
I have played this game, south park and it is excellent! You can have lots of weapons and kill the evil turkeys and alien invaders( I am still in the turkey levels, fighting the giant one). I would give this a 9 out of 10 because its funny, filled with cool but weird enemies and it's adventurous. Everyone would like it a lot! SOUTH PARK is the best and it is great. The turkeys are easy, unlike the leader and it is a hard game ( I like hard games )! YOU must love it, its the best since half life was made. Evil turkeys, space demons, crazy robots - they are my type. I will not get tired of this, this is great and it kicks ass. I love any action shooting and killing games with monsters. THE BEST! I am eleven years old.

Not what I expected, much worse.
S-Runner9 July 1999
I played this game till the clone blob, and I must say I didn't like it very much, it really descend from the rest of South Park (like there is much more).

If you take, like say, Black Stone: Aliens of Gold (anyone who knows what it means probably isn't reading this so I'll change metaphor), no, Doom. Add an unusable jump feature, change the theme to South Park, lower all the blood and gore, hit it a few times with a sledge hammer and you got South Park: The Game.

This game is a complete waste of time and money, not to mention useful brain cells, don't buy it, don't download it, don't look at it, and I even suggest not being in the same computer store with it.

It's totally icky and I will spare you the details of the story line.

This is one of the best video games to come around on Nintendo 64 since it's creation. This game is creative, funny and hard, but it is fun. Especially when you use the code (Bobby Bird) to use all weapons and swears. Pretty good. Produced by Matt Stone and Trey Parker. A+
