jousting with feelings
klc-256-21269017 November 2016
A lovely little film short about two teenagers on an overnight on a little island somewhere in Norway. It is a place they have been coming to since they were young boys, but now as they approach adulthood they are trying to see further into the future of life and their relationship.

What is nicest about the film is that it is exploring them as much as they are exploring each other. We don't exactly know what to expect, nor do they. But they have taken a step in a direction which is concrete, even if not defined.

Brings back lots of memories. And a sense of veracity.

about friendship

two friends. in a trip on an island. their place. memories. confessions. the passing time. and the delicate border between friendship and love. a story made from silence. because it is the best manner to define a strange essence of a relation who represents stability and reflection of change. the influence of Dogme95 is obvious. but not as trend . only as instrument for explore the significance of a sort of comfort and escape out of world. minimalist, gray, dramatic, using a form of sensitivity for describe a last meet who has the past as only source, Bolgene is a touching story about subtle roots, impressive force of friendship and about passing time, about profound truth who remains always out of words and about the need of the other as part of yourself..
