I saw this film at the New York film festival a couple years ago and it was the type of movie that kept me pursuing my own dreams of writing a really cool and interesting indie flick. I had seen a couple of the actors in it in other films and on T.V., but it didn't really have any stars in it, so I started to watch it without much expectation, and it really was good from start to finish. The acting, writing, and directing was tremendous. I had seen this film after spending the day watching two other films at the festival, and was tired and not in the mood for a mediocre indie. But this film delivered performances worth watching and had great twists throughout. If you can find this film playing somewhere, definitely check it out.

Recently came across this short online and thought it was quite different and uniquely crafted about three friends who had known each other from childhood and are reunited twenty years later and decide to pull off a heist.
The vast majority of the film is told in flashback of the three as teenagers. And we never actually see the heist or the actual initial reunion. Instead, we hear one of the characters recount what happens through voice-over while a montage of shots and photos are splashed across the screen to a pretty decent score.
To me this was more of an art piece than a traditional type of film that utilizes linear storytelling. Interesting nonetheless and the idea was compelling although I'm not sure this would translate into anything longer like a feature.
