Sure, "Ça va faire mal" is one of the tackiest, most vulgar sex farce ever made. But it's also one of the funniest. There's never a dull moment in that film, thanks to Jean-François Davy's perky direction and to a lively, inventive script. The actors all give the impression that they were having a ball while shooting it and I found their glee truly contagious. And I disagree with Leonie-2: Henri Guybet's a great character actor who excels at screwball comedy and who very rarely gives a less-than-stellar performance. He is wonderful here in a thankless role. Menez's performance is also very enjoyable.
"Ça va faire mal" is now one of my favorite bad films. This is a very TASTY turkey, the BEST cheese of the month.
Of course, I know Leonie-2 very well. We live in the same body, but beware of Leonie when she has a bad headache and is trying hard to NOT like a film or an actor.
That said, my first review of "Ça va faire mal" is one of the things that I regret the most to have ever written. I offer my heartfelt apologies to Jean-François Davy, Henri Guybet and Bernard Menez.
