The documentary tells the life story of Eva Peron by stitching together vignettes from different eras of her very public life: from her humble beginnings as an aspiring actress, to her rise as a political figurehead and philanthropist in Argentina, ending with her death. A very personal account of her relationship with her husband, President Juan Perón, and her political dominance alongside the working class (especially with labor leaders) - something that lies in contradiction to her opulent lifestyle adorned with expensive jewls. The documentary poses a question, did Perón use Evita for power? Or did she use him? Loved watching this celebration of her life told by people who were very close to her. A must see for anyone interested in learning more about the political history of Argentina.
