Very bad things.

First feature film by Michel Hazanavicius ,who hit the big time with his silent effort "the artist " which gave an AA to Jean Dujardin who also starred in both his spoofs on OSS 117 spy thrillers .

Two very good ideas do not always make a satisfying effort.

Two naked men awake ,to be confronted with a dead body (their playmate -in S/M games(?) ,we are not told about it- )And they must find a way to get rid of it ,because there are not sure that the police is going to accept the notion of "accident" . As they work in a sitcom ,they ask the screenwriter to "imagine a way of making a corpse disappear , and to keep the trick to a simple economical level ,because their "budget" is low ."Blending fiction with reality could have been a good dose of black humor.

And a spoof on the sitcoms , this one dumber than the dumbest of all of them ;Karine Viard ,one of the best contemporary French actresses, has a whale of a time is this part : her third-rate acting is much fun to watch .

Unfortunately ,except towards the end of the movie , they can't link both stories together: the problem of the dead body is most of the time, completely forgotten, and without Viard and her partners in the dismal sitcom who cannot act without cue cards ,the viewer would give up.One member of the crew's ponderous jokes get on one nerves .

Eventually , at last, the canned laughter punctuates the very bad things the "murderers " do with their corpse, but it' s too little too late..

In a nutshell, there are very good moments, but they are few and far between.. See it for Mrs Viard.
