If the film weren't as visually appealing and if it didn't show the mid-80s as nostalgically as people like me prefer their YU films, I may have given this rubbish the lowest rating. The humor is sheer sewer, I wouldn't even call it moronic simply because why would I insult morons that way. Farce is anyway the worst type of comedy. These bombs usually don't contain even one good joke, and that's the case here too.
Even farces must have a measure of logic, some grain of reality in order not to be too stupid, but here everything is so utterly illogical, so completely absurd (and not in a good ZAZ way, not even close), and the humour is too forced: this means that you're trying to force a scene to be funny despite there being nothing funny about it. Literally like trying to create comedy out of thin air, out of nothing. Alchemist comedy is a myth though, and these lame directors of farce need to understand that.
I doubt that the writer spent more than one afternoon on cobbling together this pitiful script. I could scribble this kind of trash in a few hours, easy.
Whenever there is the slightest "reason" for the actors to go all-out animated and over-the-top crazy, they do it. If there's even an iota of an imaginary reason for anyone to throw themselves on the floor and roll over each other like cat-nipped little kids, they do it. It's that type of overacted nonsense. Complete rubbish. "Hey, I'm being manic and wild for no reason! I must be funny doing this, so laugh!"
Nah. Don't beg me to laugh, it's cringe.
