A general store merchant in a small town, immigrant of Turkish origin (meaning of generic use to all who came from the Middle East regardless of country or religion) and with healthy mischief for business falls in love with a young woman whose father economic problems try to commit suicide he finds out and lends money avoiding it; money that borrows. The situation is complicated when he is pressured to return the money, which does not have to finish his business and the girl seems to be with another person. But he manages a solution that allows on the one hand to recover the money, and without knowing it to be reciprocated by the young woman and also be appointed as a recognized candidate for mayor in the upcoming elections of his people
