Very good comedy, indeed, but erratic

Erratic comedy series, but the episode when the hotel is over-booked and inhabitants are transferred from one room to the other to avoid clashes is one of the funniest comedy episodes I have ever seen. At the end of the series, the makers seem to have run out of ideas, so the last few episodes, including the Bryan Ferry guest appearance episode, are not up to the standard of the rest of the series.

The episode with Bryan Ferry in it was actually quite boring. Bryan Ferry seems surprisingly to have a lack of charisma as an actor and proves to be no better actor (but no worse, either) than Frank Sinatra or Elvis Presley.

Pierre Mondy plays the owner of a small hotel in Paris run by himself and his wife (Marie-Christine Barrault)

Brian Ferry proves by his notable appearance as himself that he has a great potential as an actor. It would have been a great career, having David Bowie's "rock'n'roll dandy" charm and charisma and that certain something, Rupert Everet seems to be still looking for.
