Superb performances, exquisite traditional production values and music, this Cosi fan Tutte's a winner!

I love Mozart's music and I am very fond of Cosi Fan Tutte. I am more attached to Don Giovanni, Marriage of Figaro and Magic Flute, but there is so much charm to Cosi fan Tutte. The slapstick is very funny, the plot(Cosi is perhaps Mozart's most psychologically sophisticated opera) and characters are charming and the music with Una Donna Di Quindici Anni, Un Aura Amarosa, Soave Sia Il Vento and Il Core Vi Dono is exquisite. Riccardo Muti's conducting is very precise with a romantic touch, and the orchestra play beautifully and stylistically. The performances are wonderful, especially from Adelina Scarabelli as Despina. Though Daniela Dessi is superb and Delores Ziegler is adorable. Claudio Desderi is a reliable Don Alfonso, Jozef Kundlak's Un Aura Amarosa is enough to melt the heart and Alessandro Corbelli has a warm voice and good style and he and Ziegler blend very well together in Il Core Vi Dono. In conclusion, a Cosi that is a real winner, as much as I loved the Jean-Pierre Ponelle film I find myself more receptive to this. 10/10 Bethany Cox
