Nice Cantinflas vehicle including agreeable humor set pieces , good feeling and sympathy

Cantinflas is an undisciplined soldier at the Mexican Air Force , and he also works for a rancher from an opulent hacienda . The rich owner has an ugly and sick daughter who anxiously wishes to marry to a suitable suitor . Problems emerge when the doctor solves about her sickness , it is due to her loneliness , as the wealthy father manages to engage Cantinflas with the ugly daughter to get wedded her . In order to avoid the engagement and subsequenty wedding , Cantinflas will stop at nothing to get arrested at the airquarter . However during his arrest and due to a confusion , Cantinflas undertakes an aerial flight aboard a swift plane with whom he thinks of being his trained instructor: Antonio Garasa , being the latter a bungler private and rookie in piloting, subsequently turning into celebrated aviators.

Fast-talking Cantinflas as always steals the show, by using his common skillness , ordinary aspect , his two-piece moustache and endless chatting . As his ordinary comedy routine consisted of engaging in non-sensical and drawn-out chatter , as well as his outlandish appearance . Cantinflas was the biggest comical actor of Mexico, getting an enormous popularity in Latino America and USA too , he even was really admired by none other than Charles Chaplin himself , who once described him as the World's greatest comedian . Cantinflas is responsible for more than one word that is the contemporary Spanish language dictionary, including the verb "Cantinflear" , which roughly means to talk a lot but say nothing of substance . Here Cantinflas plays as an offbeat private at the Air Force who doesn't know anything about following rules and discipline and working as a handyman for a wealthy owner . However , an amusing mess crops up when the botcher farmhand Cantinflas is coerced to marry an unattractive and ugly daughter , then to avoid the commitment he attempts at whatever cost to be arrested . The best scenes of the movie result to be when Cantinflas and Angel Garasa aboard plane and unknowing for piloting , nevertheless , they arrange to get a world success . Both Cantinflas and Angel Garasa often worked get together , here they display a phenomenal "Comical Vis" , as they mistake each other for the flight instructor , these scenes are plenty of jokes , laughters and improvisation .

This notable motion picture was professionally directed by usual director Miguel Maria Delgado. This craftsman made mostly the Cantinflas recitals , his career is undoubtly united to him , including a lot of films , such as : "El Señor Doctor , El Profe , El Supersabio , Los Tres Mosqueteros , El Gendarme Desconocido , Un Quijote Sin Mancha , El Analfabeto, El Bolero de Raquel , El Embajador , El portero , El Padrecito , El Patrullero" and many others . Rating : 6.5/ 10. Acceptable and decente Cantinflas vehicle that will appeal to his fans . Essential and indispensable seeing for Cantinflas enthusiasts . Worthwhile watching .

If you want to know and enjoy Cantinflas please avoid his movies made in color (including "80 days..). His best movies are the ones made in b/w ('40's and early 50's), and this is one of them. In the last scene with the great Angel Garaza he reinvented the prayer "Our Lord" and took many days to complete , because they couldn't stop laughing at each other, or so they say. The plot is based on a French play, and other versions were made in the 30's, but I can assure you that this one is by far the funniest.
