Stupid 1-day wonder, very typical of the format
lor_15 July 2011
Its title typically meaningless, THE WATER PEOPLE is a ridiculous hour-long XXX time-killer, made with little effort. Other than the performers having clean feet (for a change) it's par for the course. Something Weird Video resuscitated it on Vol. 129 of its Dragon Art Theatre series.

Presence of porn star Carol Connors gives it residual value 40 years later, as the famously supporting player in DEEP THROAT is a part of film history.

Here Carol is merely an Ajax Cosmetics door-to-door saleslady, coping rather tentatively with the ad lib dialog. For such a quickie production, there is little interest in anything but getting right to the sex, so after some stupid banter with talkative Marc Brock, she's soon humped by the annoying porn "comedian". At least Brock delivers several money shots on cue.

While he's busy with Carol, his roommate answers the door where a pair of pretty lingerie salesladies arrive. The threesome is rather tiresome, as the guy is not much of a sex performer, but not to worry; when Marc & Carol have finished two full rounds of shtupping, they join them on the bed for a 5-person orgy. Lots of extremely fake moaning and groaning accompanies this scene.

Attempt at a cutesy ending has Carol, post-sex, enamored of the lingerie the other gals modeled, and they in turn show interest in her cosmetics. The guys sit alone on the bed together laughing inanely, presumably thinking they've put one over on the girls? (or rather, on the poor storefront Adult Theater audience back in the day).

Soundtrack is anemic even by low-grade porn standards, with muzak playing on the radio including that tiresome oldie "Love Is Blue".

It's another low-octane porn outing from "Emilio Portici", proud enough to sign his pseudonym on several junkers. He teamed Connors and Brock in a similarly uninteresting opus "Money from Home", also reissued by Something Weird.
