"The inn decorated with flowers...."..
dbdumonteil8 June 2015
......or "the inn gone mad" ,depending on the copy you watch;the former is more known.

This is a filmed operetta ,but even for these whose tastes don't run that way,it's a pleasant movie ,with stirring songs (the title track ,"Partout" "Bonjour Bonheur")and a sometimes funny story.

The star ,Rudy Hirigoyen, a Basque singer,is a little forgotten today, unlike his peers Georges Guétary,Luis Mariano and Tino Rossi. These ones have also played the part of the famous singer who passes himself off as the average man and eventually finds love .

The supporting parts are well acted : Denise Grey , already a hip grandma (a quarter of century before "La Boum") who helps her grandson run a swinging inn. Noel Roquevert as an old military man and his missus (Jane Marken) make a nice pair, who are twice misled:non only their room does not look out onto the sea,but they have also to "enjoy " the music late at night when they're in bed .
