A pleasant surprise...
Elwood_Blues24 September 1999
I watched this film only by accident, but it was a pleasant surprise...

The acting is quite good. Sandra Speichert is the perfect choice for the title role, Kier and Mendl are convincing as villains and Kretschmann as Tim is okay.

From the technical side this film was really surprising. Unconventional editing, good stunts and some professional computer animation. This good mix is unfortunately quite seldom in a german production... On the contra side it was sometimes quite obvious when a green screen element and a normal sequence were composed.

The script... Well, take elements from Total Recall, Mission: Impossible, The Real McCoy, GoldenEye and some other Bond movies, then you have the script for this film. But I think it is a good script because its good fun and thats the entire purpose of it. Though, this script has some BIG plot holes. For a example the wounded Tim. He is shot in the stomach but three scenes later he's jumping around as if he is Superman himself.

But forget that... its just entertainment. If you like a good action/comedy mix, try this. You will not be disappointed.

My vote: 7/10

A German try to make a Bond-Movie
Hoc24 September 1998
If you keep this in mind, you will like the movie. Some high-tech, some bad guys and a nice "Bond-girl" as main actress. A lot of action and stunts without leaving much harm to the two heroes fighting against time. When Lana wants to steal the first Diamonds discovered in the German "Ruhrgebiet" she gets caught by the smart, but a little nervous security man Tim of the KVK-insurance agency. When they try to find out the truth about this precious stones, you can't deny that Joachim Hammann also included "Mission Impossible"-elements in his book. I think this movie is another one in a row of the new German filmstyle, as seen in "Der Clown" or the "Alarm für Cobra 11" TV series. Action and Stunts but nothing to take serious... just for amusement.

Not just ordinary action/comedy movie
evguenii1 October 1999
It was the first film with Sandra Speichert for me. The movie shows a professional (Lana) on the work. Divine smile, full concentration and great flexibility in fast changing environment gives a very good impression. I would say it's just how you need behave to survive in any situation.
