The rabbit, of course, is the series star, Oswald the Rabbit. The dog with the peg-leg and the other dog with the eye patch do not have names.

Nothing. The water may not have been poisonous after all. The baby may have a strong constitution. Or maybe the poison acts slowly.
When the baby drinks the well of poison water dry, it turns out that a walrus bandleader and some fish musicians are underneath. They may be what is poisonous: they can't play in tune.
