El Brendel has just gotten married to Louise Currie, but as for a honeymoon, well her first husband, Lloyd Bridges, is the train's conductor, and gives them separate berths instead of a Pullman; and her second husband, Monte Collins, offers to put them up, but it's at the fire station, where he and the other firemen are in and out, what with false alarms.
It's a nice idea for a comedy short, and director Del Lord was one of the better directors at the Columbia short comedy division, but as usual, I find that Brendel does little for me in the comedy department, so it's all the destructive slapstick and loud and raucous sound effects that were par for that division.
