I saw this movie at a couple of different film festivals, including Film Fest New Haven 1996, and at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. It is amongst the funniest short films I have seen, the writing is extremely witty, and Emily is a delightful heroine. Very strongly recommended.

You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll kiss Pavarotti goodbye!

I saw this short at the Taos Film Festival several years ago and have been trying to find it on video ever since. The setup has Emily's friends fixing her up with various blind dates in her search for a soulmate. Very, very funny. The audience at the screening was bouncing off the walls during the "Nessun dormo" scene. If you ever come across "Emily's Last Date" at a festival or on a video compilation of shorts, watch it for a particularly "magical" moment.
