Trivial slice of life
lor_30 November 2022
I suppose the late Erica Boyer enjoyed making this very bland porn movie a lot more than her audience enjoyed watching it, as there's not much to offer. In a way it struck me like a hippie era movie, what with the great outdoors and a free and easy approach to life permeating the non-story, but pointlessness rules instead.

Running joke is an aversion to sunlight, though cast aimlessly does plenty of sunbathing while complaining in a remote desert setting. Erica is a stripper working with Holly Ryder at a crummy club run by mean guy Mike Horner. That versatile actor doesn't have much to work with here -he's not a bad guy, just a callous guy.

In an arrangement not clearly explained, Erica seems to be living in a trailer that has a time-share element, not the usual one, but she comes off shift at the strip club, and goes to bed in the same bed inhabited by Alexandria Quinn, who gets up and goes her own way. It seems as if Alex is a hooker, but the off-beat (and low-impact) screenplay by Mark Weiss doesn't get bogged down in basics.

Nothing really happens here, except for an inevitable sexual romance cropping up between Erica and the innocent-looking male lead Austin Moore. He had a very minor career, not the thousands of credits racked up his famous peers in Chatsworth Central Porn Casting.

The only merit here is a refreshing "open air" approach compared to so many studio-shot junkers during the VHS era.
