Wartime Pan American Musical Cooperation
lchadbou-326-265921 February 2021
Moving into WWII there were efforts not only by the US (Good Neighbor Policy, Nelson Rockefeller) to get more friendly with the Latin American countries who might be affected by Fascists and Nazis, but also among the Latin countries themselves. So here we have a musical featuring one Hollywood actress, June Marlowe (playing a gringa) one Mexican hearthrob Jose Mojica and several Cubans (Carmen Brown and Bola De Nieve) The singing and dancing of these various countries is featured and there are pleasant backgrounds of the pampas and of Brazil.
