- Riggs gets into a brutal fight with a man on a boat, and he punches the man, who punches and kicks him several times, knocking him out.
- There's a brutal fight in a house in which Riggs, Murtaugh, and Lorna fight off Triads, and many people are brutally punched and kicked, one man is elbowed in the face and then kicked in the face, and another man is thrown through a window. Riggs is then brutally beaten in a fight with Ku, who knocks out him, Murtaugh, and Lorna.
- There's an intense car chase/fight scene in which Riggs climbs into a mover truck carrying a small home, and then pulls a bad guy out of a car and onto the truck. The two engage in a brutal fight, and it ends when the bad guy falls off the truck and is hit by a bus and dies. Some cars also ram into each other during the scene.
- Murtaugh punches Riggs in the face at one point, offscreen, and Riggs tumbles backwards into view of the camera, but he's unhurt.
- Corpses of several people are seen inside a warehouse.
- There's an intense shootout in the beginning with several explosions and lots of fire, as a man in a protective suit and flamethrowers and guns shoots up a city block. Riggs finally shoots the gas tank on his back and he flies into a truck.
- There's a large shootout in a harbor, and many people are shot and killed, with some blood spurts seen. Many others fight hand-to-hand, and Butters gets into a brief fight with a man. Riggs fights with Ku and gets beaten, and Murtaugh shoots a man from a distance, and some blood is seen.
- Wah Sang Ku and the Chinese captain fight on a rooftop and Wah Sang Ku strangles the Chinese captain, killing him.

- "Crazy"-saying mental hospital-loving "Seinfeld"-hating oppressor Stephanie Woods finally has the tables turned on her. She's made a career manipulating people and trying to get the upper hand on Martin. Well it finally blows in her face, and she has a nasty rant towards Martin. Not super intense, but still scary to watch her lose her cool.

- This movie has a final brutal fight scene between the villain and the two main characters. Pretty violent and brutal, and somewhat graphic. During the fight, one character's shoulder is dislocated, and another character is impaled, but survives. Two characters then fall underwater, and one of them grabs a machine gun under the water and shoots the other many times, and lots of blood is seen.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The final showdown takes place in a thunderstorm and is pretty intense.
- The freeway chase is pretty intense.
- A vehicle suddenly pushes Riggs and Lorna's vehicle out into the path of an approaching freight train.
- A house is lit on fire with people trapped inside trying to get out, including two pregnant women. No one is harmed.
