- In the movie's most infamous scene, Bob Flanagan nails his penis (specifically the tip of his penis) to a plank of wood in full close-up. He then pulls the nail out and lets himself bleed all over a pane of glass. EXTREMELY graphic and hard to watch.
- Bob's last days are incredibly hard to take. More so then when he finally dies.
