According to director David DeCoteau's 2002 DVD commentary, most of the casting was done on the spot for this six-day shoot at the Black Sea in Romania. The hotel receptionist was played by the real hotel receptionist, the waiter by the real waiter, and so on. In their only known screen appearance, the three lead actresses are uncredited and DeCoteau claims not to even remember their names.
Director David DeCoteau used the pseudonym Ellen Cabot. He told Draculina magazine that Ellen Cabot was an old girlfriend from high school who he had a real bad break up with his senior year. He said she was a screaming bitch. So whenever he made what he feels is a very bad movie, he used her name instead of his in the credits. Later he admitted to Femme Fatales that that story wasn't true. He just made up the name to cover the fact that he was actually gay.
