Pretty good for a made for TV movie!

Warning: Spoilers
I truly enjoyed this movie from start to finish. I thought the plot was interesting, the acting better than average, beautiful scenery and the bad guy remaining a mystery until the end.

Kate Jackson and Corbin Bernstein always help even a movie with some weaknesses, and this is true in this one. They make a very likable couple and I admit I was happy to find that for once Corbin Bernstein wasn't the handsome killer in disguise. The fact that a law enforcement office would just happen to enter the Iditarod was a bit of a stretch, but easily overlooked by the acting of the duo.

Of course a made for TV movie has a hard time competing with the huge budget movies we all enjoy, but I am always happy to see this movie on the list of offerings for the month. My biggest problem is identifying the movie by its name. With neither Alaska or the Iditarod as part of the title, I normally just come upon it by mistake. It is always a welcome surprise.

out of all the movies Kate has done in the 1990s.,this is by far one of the best ones.

The story behind this is movie and the making of it is interesting.

In 1993, Kate spotted this the book by Sue Henry called, "Murder on the Iditarod Trail." Kate read the book and loved it. She told her lawyers that she wanted to buy the rights to the book to make the movie. However, things came up and it slipped through the cracks.

In 1994, Kate again inquired about it, only to learn that it had already been optioned. Kate contacted Carla Singer (who had purchased the rights) and expressed interest in the movie.

Kate took it to CBS was enthusastic about it. They bought the movie.

You have to admire Kate who endured the sub-zero climate of the Yukon in making this movie.

The movie was really good.

If nothing else is on TV

Kate Jackson is out of place in this movie, the dialog is terrible and I found myself saying over and over, "who could be that stupid", or "that doesn't work like that in real life". All in all a horrible movie unless you are a complete Kate Jackson fan, or just love to watch dogs run.

I was an extra.

It was filmed in WHITEHORSE, YUKON, not British Columbia, as the review states. It's a HORRIBLE movie, but you can see a closeup of my face, pretending to be asleep, at the start of one of the scenes.

A pleasant movie to spend some time watchng beautiful dogs! Not a "deep" mystery.

I liked this movie since it showed me a little of what it must be like to run dogs in the Iditarod race. I enjoyed it. I have always been a fan of Kate Jackson, and since I haven't seen much of her recently this was enjoyable. Corbin Berenson was a little added "attraction". Try it - you might like it!!

Chilling

This was a very compelling movie, and Kate Jackson did a stand out job, playing who she plays best -- a strong woman with 'character.' The plot was great, in that, for quite a long time, you weren't sure who to trust.

The Alaskan scenery was beautiful, even warm inside, I shivered.

The chemistry between Kate Jackson and Corbin Bernsen seemed lacking at times, however, and I would've liked a stronger rather than the 'cheesy TV-movie style' resolution.

Loved the sledding, scenery

I loved the parts of the sledding, the scenery and it was put together very well. Unlike 'Snow Dogs', sled dogs do not bark when they are running. I have been looking for the video of Cold Heart of a Killer, but have been unsuccessful in my search.
