- One character gets an axe buried in their back and are killed.
- Several prolonged fights scenes where characters viciously battle one another; though fast-paced and brutal, most of these fights are a bit comical and not too graphic.
- Some people get set on fire. Jackie Chan burns his hands in one scene, and we see the burns. (This is what mainly gave the film its R-rating due to an unsimulated injury).
- A man gets shot; some blood spurts.
- A few bad guys get stabbed or slashed with a bamboo stick; blood is seen.
