Sex & Nudity

  • One of the characters is "sleeping" with everyone at the station. This is said through implied and direct dialogue including terms like "screwing", but no profane descriptions. Some PG pictures are shown with her in humorous compromising situations.
  • The errand boy runs into the women's changing room and briefly sees a few topless women; breasts are seen.
  • Roger at one point dresses in women's clothing to elude the police, and the errand boy compliments his "melons"

Violence & Gore

  • The character Billy Budget is often seen getting thrown against a wall, but he appears unharmed. This is mostly played for laughs.
  • Several characters die in inventive and bloodless ways. These include electrocution, suffocation (by laughing gas), crushing (not shown), hanging (dangling legs), falling (not shown) and machine gun (not graphic). Though not visually distressing or graphic, some of them (electrocution) might frighten young kids. Many incidents of comedic/cartoon violence such as getting bonked on the head by mallets, running into doors, etc (no permanent damage to anyone). Someone gets held hostage at gunpoint.
  • Roger fakes falling to his death, then ends up falling off the building and landing on one of the station's letter signs which shorts out, briefly electrocuting him.
  • Roger uses a fire hose to ward off the police but it sprays out of control, and he ends up going out the window hanging by the hose.
  • The film's main antagonist is shown to be manipulative and at one point he is exposed as murderous and becomes insane

Profanity

  • Use of "crap", "damn", and "much hell's used throughout".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Several characters smoke and cigarettes are a sponsor of the radio program (complete with dancing cigarette pack). Several characters drink from flasks and bottles, one of whom is constantly inebriated.
  • A man is suffocated using nitrous oxide/laughing gas.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • An ominous voice announces each murder before it happens. Several of the deaths are broadcast over the airwaves. Some of the death scenes might scare easily frightened youngsters.

  • Two men climb up top a radio tower, and one is gunned down by a biplane and falls to his death.
