Warning: This post contains major spoilers from Grimm‘s series finale.
In the end, Grimm‘s devil is defeated by a tiny detail.
Granted, that detail — that Nick must willingly give Zerstörer the magic stick in order for the otherworldly demon to complete his all-powerful staff and bring on the apocalypse — doesn’t make itself apparent until the eleventh hour, when our hero thinks he’s lost everyone he ever cared about.

Well, well, well kids! Season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is off and running on all cylinders and I must admit I have had a rad bromance with the show from the start.
So what did we (and by we I mean me — this is just my take, people) think of the season 9 queens? You know the final decision as to who goes and who stays is up to the highest court in the land — Mama Ru! Let’s start from the very beginning, that’s always a good place to start.

Dear Danny,Generally (and melancholically) speaking, I’m in the process of wrapping up my Tiff experience. Literally speaking, however, I’m sitting before a flatscreen in the Bell Lightbox Theatre’s lobby, seeing Bring Me the Head of Tim Horton for the second time in a row. Brother Sicinski in his essential Wavelengths report has astutely written on this singular 30-minute whatsit by Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson, and Galen Johnson, though I couldn’t resist adding my own appreciative two cents. You’ve heard the story: Paul Gross aims to promote Canadian patriotism with his Afghanistan War would-be blockbuster Hyena Road, a project dismantled by Maddin in a remarkable, psychedelic behind-the-scenes documentary/demolition job. Presenting himself as broke, livid and roasting under the sweltering Jordanian sun, Maddin posits his role as “a Trojan horse inside a Trojan horse,” his hallucinatory camera turning the arid landscapes and squid-equipped actors of...

The America's Got Talent season 10 live shows got off to a mixed start as the first group of 12 quarterfinalists took to the stage at Radio City Music Hall. Despite some subpar performances from a couple of favorite acts, there were few surprises as the sizzlers sizzled and the fizzlers fizzled. The show was properly stacked, with a great act early on and the best of the rest saved for the end. And then there was one massive disappointment. Here are my rankings of the Quarterfinals Part 1.

And then there was one. One more episode for this whole shebang to wrap up in a way that doesn’t seem flippant or false. A way that doesn’t seem like all of our pearl-clutching and close watching has been in vain. A way that helps us — and the Solanos, and the town of Gracepoint itself — heal. Too much to ask at this point? Most likely, but anything could happen in those last 45 minutes. As for these 45, well: We last left the gang a pre-turkeyfied two weeks ago, with a mini-cliff-hanger that placed Det. Emmett Carver in dire straits (“I think I’m dying,” he said, in a moment of uncharacteristic candor and melodrama). Spoiler alert: He didn’t die. But he still could, and he’s likely to be fired, to boot. This fact propels him into extra-intensity mode, barking orders at Ellie and tightening the screws on...

Four coaches, four spots left, one hour: That's right, it's the final night of blind auditions for Season 6 of "The Voice." Which four artists were lucky enough to land Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira's final team spots on Tuesday (March 11)? Let's get to it.

It’s finally here, after all these months of waiting and waiting. Helix, Syfy‘s new science-filled thriller executive produced by Battlestar Galactica‘s Ron Moore, is hitting our screens tonight with not only a double episode, but limited commercial interruptions. Thank you, Syfy!

Helix is a brand new TV thriller from Executive Producers Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) and Steve Maeda (Lost, CSI: Miami, The X-Files) and tells the story of a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind’s salvation…or total annihilation.
With the show set to debut on Syfy (in the Us) on January 10th, we sat down with star Kyra Zagorsky, who plays Dr. Julia Walker – a Senior Scientist at the Centers For Disease Control, and Executive Producer Steve Maeda to discuss the show’s inception, it’s story, the characters, and what we can expect from this new sci-fi series.
The setting of being up in the Arctic really seems to work well for this kind of thing.

Now, though, Hunnam has dropped out, citing scheduling issues. In a strictly-worded announcement, the producers explained what happened: “The filmmakers of Fifty Shades Of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.” Hhhm… So when everybody was busy making the deal and figuring this sort of thing out before he committed, no one took the time to check the dates? As Hurricane Sandy blustered its way up the East Coast, New Yorkers were battening down the hatches, stocking up on bottled water, canned goods and booze, and in some cases evacuating from dangerous Zone A. By Sunday night, public transportation had shut down, and we all settled in for what could be several days without outside contact, power, or possibly access to the web. Basically, we prepared for the hurricane, and to go stir crazy. It was a frightening time where many of us took to Twitter and Facebook to keep in contact with friends and family. To pass the time as the wind howled and the tides rose, some of us watched movies online, giving Netflix Instant a major bump. Others played videos games, or blogged. Welcome back to TV Fanatic's Private Practice Round Table!
Our Private Practice review broke down Tuesday's "And Then There Was One," in detail. Now, Tvf staff writers Christina Tran and Carissa Pavlica join newcomers Caitlyn Castro and Jarrod Mitchell for a Round Table Q&A.
Read their answers below and weigh in with yours!

1. What was your favorite quote or scene from this week’s Private Practice episode?
Jarrod: Probably every scene with Addison and baby Henry. The fact that she is now a mother just makes me feel as though the character herself is complete. After two years on Grey’s Anatomy and four and half on Private Practice of wanting a baby, she’s finally got one. I don’t think I’ve even seen myself so ecstatic for Addie.
Caitlyn: "For the first time, in like forever, I have exactly the man that I want. This guy.

It’s safe to say that Private Practice has simply never been better. In fact, tonight’s tragic and powerful installment continued to show that there are so many more stories to tell at Seaside Wellness.
I still find it surprising that this series is considered to be on the bubble. Really, what’s up with that?! Nevertheless, let’s hold tight and hope for the best as we discuss "And Then There Was One."
For starters, how amazing was Caterina Scorsone’s performance?!? She did a remarkable job in portraying Amelia’s broken heart, lashing out at Addison and expressing her anger and jealousy.
Every word was filled with angst and torment as she illustrated exactly how crushed and devastated she truly was. It was a terribly unfortunate predicament for Amelia, and I could feel every ounce of her pain as she knowingly dealt with having to carry her baby without a brain.

When you saw the list of animated features that qualified for Oscar consideration you may have scratched your head when you saw the likes of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked and The Smurfs. After all, these were CG/live-action hybrids and hardly 100% animated films. Of course the rules state that an animated feature film is a feature in which "a significant number of the major characters must be animated, and animation must figure in no less than 75% of the picture's running time." The question is, who checks to see just what percentage of a film is animated? I also wonder why films like The Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks are considered but not a film such as Transformers: Dark of the Moon. What's the difference? And now things are even more confusing as Steve Pond at The Wrap reports The Smurfs has been disqualified and yet Alvin and the Chipmunks remains in contention.

American Horror Story Episode Eleven: And Then There Was One...
Oh. My. God. The penultimate episode of American Horror Story's first season brought the pain. Figuratively and literally.
R.I.P. Vivien Harmon (and Stillborn Harmon)
While I've had the feeling that another Harmon would bite the dust before the finale, the delivery of that foreshadowed doom was still a gut-wrenching experience. After that mind frak of a birthing scene, Vivien finally succumbed to the complications of her giving birth, which also took the life of Ben's child, as well. Now Ben is truly "alone" in that God forsaken House and he still doesn't have a clue about what's going on around him. Now after losing his wife, Violet, and his son (technically) all in one day, you have to imagine just how long will it take before Ben completely checks out mentally, by either hurting someone or killing himself in the process.

And then there was one. One person is left to be cast for a lead role in The Three Stooges re-imagining brought to us by Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly. We recently learned that Will Sasso (MadTV) was awarded the role of Curly Howard in the project which is set to start production in the upcoming weeks. Now we have new information regarding the casting of the film.
It looks as though Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) has been officially cast as Larry Fine. This may come as a surprise to most of you, as it did to me, but Hayes is a renowned stage actor and has a talent for playing wild characters.
As for the role of Moe, the only name that has stuck around for a while is Hank Azaria. But Variety doesn’t list any names for the role of Moe in their article regarding the casting of Hayes.

And then there was one. Kara DioGuardi has left her post as judge on Fox's hit show American Idol (TV). DioGuardi, who's departure has been rumored for several weeks now, made her exit official in a statement released by Fox on Friday. "I felt like I hit the lottery when I joined 'American Idol' two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave" she said. She also went on to call her experience on the show "amazing." The statement did not include a reason for her departure. Randy Jackson now remains the only judge from last season, after Ellen DeGeneres and Simon Cowell took their final bows earlier this summer. Cowell is headed for his own gig with The X Factor (TV), also on Fox, and DeGeneres departed after just one season, citing that she felt uncomfortable criticizing young artists. Jackson, along with...

The United Center in Chicago played host to American Idol (TV)'s top ten Saturday night, with a hometown boy at the helm. Winner Lee DeWyze, who hails from suburban Mt. Prospect, Il. topped the list of Season 9 finalists who sang their way through a series of individual and group performances that had Idol fans chanting for their seasonal faves. The show followed it's traditional countdown format beginning with contestant number ten and working its way up to the winner. Opening the show was Didi Benami, whose second song, "Terrified" by Katharine McPhee out-did her first, Kyler England's "Lay it on Me." Andrew Garcia, a sentimental favorite during the show's run, received a warm reception from his camp as he stylistically toyed around with Paula Abdul's "Straight Up." At number 8 was Katie Stevens who wowed the boy crowd with a black rubber-like mini-dress and stiletto black boots. The raven-haired...

And Then There Was One.
76-year-old Oklahoma-born actress Rue McClanahan died today at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital after she suffered a stroke and subsequently a brain haemorrhage.
McClanahan had triple bypass surgery in November last year and suffered a minor stroke in January while recovering from surgery.
One of the first celebrity animal welfare advocates, McClanahan had a career spanning six decades including nineteen films from 1961 to 2008 such as "Some of My Best Friends Are..", "The Rotten Apple," "Starship Troopers," "Walk the Angry Beach" and "They Might Be Giants".
However it was television where she had her biggest successes starting with her role on the daytime soaps "Another World" and "Where the Heart Is". She first teamed with the late Bea Arthur on the classic 70's sitcom "Maude" in which she played the titular character's best friend.

And then there was one. Rue McClanahan, best known as "Blanche" on the eternal sitcom The Golden Girls has passed away at 76 after years of health problems. That leaves only the increasingly popular Betty White as the last Golden Girl standing, there to receive all the love we have left for these awesome women.
Rose (White) was my favorite but Blanche (McClanahan) the runner up in the laugh-generation department for me (I've always loved the saucy dames). I was just thinking about The Golden Girls yesterday because my mind was drifting to the upcoming Emmy nominations. The Emmys are often quite terrible about divvying up the goods, giving way too many prizes to the same shows and performers over the years. But in the case of The Golden Girls, the Emmy voters seem to have a very welcome and secret conspiracy to spread the wealth; All four of the women...

And then there was one. Rima Fakih, aka Miss Michigan, nabbed the coveted Miss USA crown on Sunday evening in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood Resort Casino. The 24-year-old Lebanese beauty is thought to be the first Arab-American to ever hold the title. Fakih was among the 51 contestants who participated in a controversial photo shoot showing this year's hopefuls in nothing more than lingerie. The photos prompted Miss USA honcho Donald Trump to weigh in on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. "These pictures are pretty wild," said The Donald. "But the girls are incredible." Indeed. Controversy or no, Fakih seems as all-American as a Miss USA...

And then there was one. Hero Rupert Boneham may have made it to the final 6 and to his 100th day of Survivor, but most of his fellow Heroes fared much worse this season, sending only teammate (Colby Donaldson) to the finale. As one of the last Heroes standing, Rupert says it was his inability to convince the rest of his tribe to distrust Russell Hantz that hurt the team, as well as the Heroes' lack of unity from the get-go. The 45-year-old also spoke with TVGuide.com about Hantz's ranking among the reality show's biggest villains, teammate Colby's poor performance, and his fool-proof plan to...

And then there was one -- again.
Rentrak, which in 2003 broke Nielsen Edi's monopoly in providing Hollywood studios with boxoffice data services, announced Tuesday its acquisition of Edi.
Financial terms or plans for layoffs at either company were not disclosed, but overlap in staffing makes some pink slips likely.
Nielsen will maintain a long-term data-licensing agreement with Rentrak under terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the first quarter. Edi will be integrated into Rentrak's Box Office Essentials unit.
The combined entity will track boxoffice from more than 50,000 movie screens in 14 countries. Rentrak will enjoy a position of unique market dominance because most film distributors and even boxoffice-analysis services use Edi or Rentrak data.
"This strategic transaction will provide Rentrak with a substantial global platform, further enabling our ability to provide robust measurement capabilities and analytics to entertainment, media and advertising companies throughout the world and from...
