- A mild sexual scene begins with a man and woman kissing. While laying down the woman kisses the man's chest and then the man kisses the woman's back, with very dark lighting. No intimate nudity and no depiction of sex.
- In one scene, a crackhead offers a drug dealer oral sex for drugs.

- Police officers stop two young black men, force them into their squad car handcuffed, and beat them.

- In the opening scene, a man and a woman are shot and killed; the shooting is offscreen, but we see the man with bloody bullet holes and lying in a pool of blood. Later, teens watch the footage and smile as the man is shot through the head and with blood splattering.
- Caine's father shoots and kills a man in front of other people and the young son, leaving several bloody wounds.
- A man is shot in the head with a shotgun at point blank range. We dont see the head explode, but a lot of blood is seen spraying against a nearby window. Another is shot many times through the chest at close range with a pistol and blood splatters from the wounds.
- A man is shot through the stomach and killed in a quick, bloodless, but no less frightening scene.

- A young man is shot in the head with a pistol, as blood and brain matter spray a window. The wound in the head is briefly visible as the body violently seizes in a pool of blood. Another young man is shot through the shoulder, and bleeds profusely; we see him being carried to the hospital drenched in blood.
- Two of the main characters are shot to death by machine guns in a drive-by shooting; one is riddled with bullets and dies instantly, while the other is practically torn apart slowly by bullets while shielding a young boy; we see bulletholes behind his back, covered in blood and blood gushing out of his mouth as he dies. Very graphic.
