The French title for this film was "L'Avocat du Diable" which translates into the English language as "The Devil's Advocate".
Although the film is set in the USA in Chicago in the state of Illinois, where some exteriors and establishing shot were done, filming otherwise was done exclusively in Canada in Toronto in the province of Ontario.
