Novak Djokovic recently shared an honest confession that engulfed him in the aftermath of his Wimbledon final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz last season.
Djokovic, who played in all four Grand Slam finals in 2023, finished with a 27-1 record, winning the Australian Open for a record 10th time and the French Open for a third time in the first half of the season. Djokovic became the first man to triumph at all four Slams at least three times.
The Serbian's Grand Slam season ended with a landmark win at the US Open, where he won his 24th Grand Slam, the most by any man in singles. His solitary defeat in a major last season was in the final of Wimbledon, where an inspired Alcaraz stunned him in five sets.

San Francisco, July 24 (Ians) Microsoft is testing a new feature in Windows 11 Enhanced Phishing Protection that protects users from copying and pasting their Windows password into websites and documents.
When Microsoft first introduced the new Windows Enhanced Phishing protection, it only alerted users when they manually typed their Windows password into a document or web login page.
Microsoft has now improved the phishing protection feature in Windows 11 Insider Dev build 23506 by detecting the copy and paste of a user’s Windows password.
“We are trying out a change starting with this build where users who have enabled warning options for Windows Security under App & browser control > Reputation-based protection > Phishing protection will see a Ui warning on unsafe password copy and paste, just as they currently see when they type in their password,” Microsoft said in a blogpost.

“Menashe” is the narrative debut for previous documentarian, Joshua Z. Weinstein. Almost entirely spoken in Yiddish, “Menashe” is set in the Hasidic community of Brooklyn’s Borough Park. The film combines beautiful fluidity and documentary emotional realism with subtle narrative structure.

After the untimely death of his wife, Menashe tries to maintain a relationship with his son, Rieuven, while attempting to compromise, yet honor the traditions of a Hasidic life. With the strict nature of the community and the unyielding demands of his Rabbi, Menashe is unable to raise his son until he finds a new wife to create what his Rabbi believes to be a responsible living environment that Rieuven can thrive in.
The film gives a dramatized, yet powerfully insightful view on a community of individuals and the traditions that rule over their decision-making.

Writer-director John Ridley had long wanted to make a movie about the Los Angeles uprising of April 29, 1992. But even though he won an Oscar for his screenplay for “12 Years a Slave” and created the Emmy-winning ABC anthology series “American Crime” (now in its third season), the subject wasn’t exactly sexy to potential backers. So when ABC came to him with the idea of a documentary timed to the 25th anniversary, he jumped at it.

Mubi is celebrating Canadian National Film Day, in partnership with Reel Canada, by exclusively showing Atom Egoyan's Calendar (1993). It is playing on Mubi from April 20 - May 19, 2016. Many thanks to the director, who generously has shared this new introduction to his film.Calendar. Photo © Ego Film Arts.It started with a very simple urge: to go there. Though both my parents are Armenian, I was born in Cairo, raised in Canada, and had never visited my “mother country.” In 1991 my fourth feature, The Adjuster, had been invited to the Moscow Film Festival. It won a prize, which included one million rubles (a fortune back then) to make a film somewhere in the Soviet Union. At the time, Armenia was part of the Soviet Union, and this would be my opportunity to go there.Over the next year, as I began to formulate an idea for a film, fate would work against me.

At some point in the not too distant future, Ryan Reynolds will be facing down hordes of sword-wielding immortals in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's Highlander remake. Before he heads to Scotland, however, Reynolds is off to Canada to star in Atom Egoyan's Queen Of The Night. No, it's not an entire film based on a Whitney Houston song or an operatic character. The details are scarce at this point, but the film is apparently a kidnap thriller in which Reynolds will play the father of an abducted child. Don't expect much in the way of clock-ticking revenge action though: Egoyan's films (like Calendar, Exotica, Ararat and Adoration) tend to be more cerebral than that.Egoyan, as usual, has co-written the screenplay, and will produce the indie thriller along with Simone Urdl, Jennifer Weiss and Stephen Traynor. He's currently still hard at work on The Devil's Knot, his dramatisation of...
