Fox’s X-Men movies may have brought some of the most fan-favorite mutants to live-action, but they have struggled as far as fan reactions go. Often criticized for one thing or the other, particularly over poorly written characters to time inconsistencies, fans and critics have found several reasons to remain unsatisfied.
Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine in X-Men: The Last Stand
Undoubtedly, the movies’ greatest gift to fans has been casting Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. While his portrayal of the iconic character has left many captivated, he has often overshadowed other X-Men characters. And one Avengers: Endgame writer has a bone to pick with Fox movies for stealing one X-Men’s spotlight and handing it over to Wolverine.

X-Men ’97 has had massive success among the Marvel fans. The animated series, which is a revival and continuation of the ’90s X-Men show, has generated immense hype. However, it has also attracted very strong criticism regarding the character of Rogue. The fans did not appreciate how the show pulled off some insane de-sexualization of the curvaceous figure of Rogue.
Rogue in X-Men ’97
Since the first trailer dropped, many fans who found their first love in Rogue in the 90s complained on the internet that her physique was drastically changed in the new animation. In some scenes, Rogue’s butt looked extremely flat. However, the Rogue voice actress, Lenore Zann, seems to have found the perfect way to address the criticism by paying homage to the iconic “America’s Ass.”

Ever since Steve Rogers decided to hand his shield off to his buddy Sam Wilson (a.k.a. Falcon) at the end of Avengers: Endgame, fans have wondered what was next. We got a Disney+ series that showed Sam’s hesitance to pick up the mantle of Captain America and the history that comes with it. By the end of the series, he knew he was the only person who could take on the role of Captain America. Now, where do we go? It looks like the upcoming story of super heroes and alter egos, Captain America: Brave New World, will tell us.

Marvel fans have been eagerly awaiting more female-led superhero flicks to highlight the powerful women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a world where male superheroes predominate. However, recent reports have suggested that the future of such projects could very well be at risk, making fans frustrated and disappointed.
Teyonah Parris’ character Monica Rambeau would have had her own solo MCU series if Brie Larson’s The Marvels had not been met with such dismal critical reception. Although Monica Rambeau made a fleeting appearance in Nia DaCosta’s The Marvels (2023), the character made her official debut in Disney+’s WandaVision.

With Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame being such box office successes, many fans assumed that the Russo Brothers (Anthony and Joe Russo) would return to direct Avengers: Secret Wars. But in the years that followed, a lot changed.
During that period, the Russo Brothers helmed a few flicks through their Agbo company. Among them are the crime drama Cherry, starring Tom Holland and Ciara Bravo, and the action thriller The Gray Man, featuring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.

Some people conjectured that the brothers might choose to return to Marvel following The Gray Man’s failure and Cherry’s comparatively unimpressive reception. Taylor Sheridan has been part of the industry since 1995, having worked as an actor, writer, producer, and director. After being an actor, Sheridan realized that this was not the field for him, and started venturing into other avenues – mainly writing and directing.
Taylor Sheridan in Yellowstone
Since then, he has written and directed many acclaimed movies and TV shows. From the Oscar-nominated movie Sicario (2015) to Hell Or High Water (2016) to Wind River (2017), he wrote the screenplay for each, and even directed the last. And now he is working on a few equally acclaimed TV shows like Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, and 1923.
Taylor Sheridan Quit Acting to Become a Director
Before he ventured into the land of direction, Taylor Sheridan was an actor doing small roles here and there. It wasn’t until the mid-2000s that he got to play some major characters in shows like Veronica Mars and Sons of Anarchy.

It was not common for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to dive into television-based content before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Joss Whedon had a part to play in it. Stemming from the first Avengers movie, the show was an idea no one had explored before. It laid the foundation of what the franchise could do outside of just the big screen and its success was the hope that no one knew they really needed.

Chris Evans played the role of Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America in the MCU. For almost a decade, the actor entertained fans with his unrelenting optimism and good-old heroism in films such as Captain America: The First Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The actor departed from the role after the end of his character arc in Endgame.
While fans want Evans to return to his role for the upcoming Avengers 5, the actor seems to be done with the character for a while. However, he did not rule out the possibility of returning to the MCU as a whole, as he expressed his desire to play Johnny Storm again. The upcoming Marvel film Captain America: Brave New World has had a rather rocky development, with rumors of poor test screenings, reshoots, and even delays leading to some wondering when the film will actually be released.
So little is known about the film, and the only hint at any story is its multiple subtitles, with the first being “New World Order” but being changed to “Brave New World” due to political concerns. This will also be the first Captain America film without Chris Evans as Falcon (Played by: Anthony Mackie) has taken up the mantel (as seen in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier).
But we may now know of a character that will be appearing in the film, one that will serve as the potential main villain of the story. That being Red Hulk. Red Hulk is the alter ego of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross after he, too, was mutated like Bruce Banner,...

‘X-Men ’97’ is the latest Marvel Studios hit. The animated series is a continuation of the original X-Men show and so far, fans are pleased with the level of authenticity this revival has offered.
The episodes consistently show high ratings, with the story only getting better. It’s been renewed for season 2 ahead of release, and plans to work on season 3 are underway as we speak.
The show is officially part of the Marvel Animated Multiverse, but Kevin Feige admitted that at one point they did consider making it canon to the MCU, in his latest interview with Inverse.

Recently, director Shawn Levy and Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige were at CinemaCon, where an almost 10-minute long footage from the movie was shown. And to the surprise of many, an Og Avenger made the trip to Deadpool land.

‘X-Men ’97’ was a huge hit for the studio. The show debuted with a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and both fans and critics agreed that it’s a faithful adaptation of the original ‘X-Men: The Animated Series’ from the ’90s. The creators aimed to recreate the original characters and animation, with many of the original voice actors returning to reprise their roles.
Recently, Captain America was hinted at making an appearance in the show, sparking speculation among fans about potential future cameos and which characters might be included. This speculation intensified after some of the most prominent mutants in the show were killed off in an emotional episode 5, serving as a prelude to what’s to come.
Jake Castorena, the head director and producer of the show, recently spoke with Screen Rant to discuss what fans can expect in the future.

Typically, a manga’s popularity sees an enormous boost after being adapted into an anime; however, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man is an exception. It has been one of the highest-selling manga series and has an across-the-board fanbase due to its lively and enjoyable characters and intriguing theme.

To write relatable characters who can click with the audience, the author needs to have a similar personality and should interact with the audience. While his tenure at Warner Bros. as the supervisor of the now-dismantled Dceu was a choppy and controversial one, many fans of comic book films cannot deny Zack Snyder’s influence on this genre of entertainment was monumental during the peak of superhero cinema.
In fact, it wouldn’t be farfetched to say that he was a visionary who took risks, even if they didn’t pay off all too well.

Life has not been kind to Kevin Feige for the past few years. The Marvel supremo has had to face a lot of headaches ever since Avengers: Endgame, arguably the peak of the MCU, hit the theatres in 2019.
Since those days of glory, it’s been the same tale of woes over and over again – stories that have been unable to hit as hard as the ones in the Infinity Saga, and characters that have failed to resonate with the masses. The latter is indeed a long list, including the likes of She Hulk and Miss Marvel.
But one fact that encapsulates how the MCU has failed to hit home is how even the older characters have failed to recreate the impact they were expected to.

Throughout the development of ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ the updates we received were mostly concerning. Reports suggested extensive reshoots were required due to subpar action sequences and lackluster chemistry between the lead and the love interest.
However, during the 2024 CinemaCon, footage from the film was unveiled, depicting Sam Wilson as Captain America working to rebuild the Avengers and facing off against Harrison’s Ford Thunderbolt Ross. This revelation has sparked excitement for the movie.
In the clip, Sam Wilson meets President Thunderbolt Ross at the White House, who suggests reassembling the Avengers with Sam as their new Captain America. However, there are suggestions that Ross might have hidden intentions. A meeting is interrupted by a mysterious villain who takes charge, resulting in intense action scenes where Sam defends himself against Secret Service agents. Sam and Joaquín Torres join forces in these sequences, leading to a climactic showdown between Sam and Ross.

For most of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ development, the only thing we’ve heard about the movie was troubling updates. The movie underwent massive reshoots due to unsatisfactory action scenes and poor chemistry between the love interest and the lead (according to rumors).

When it comes to protecting his IPs, Kevin Feige is no less than a clucking mother hen, and Captain America might just be the biggest egg in the basket. After Chris Evans’ swan song moment in Avengers: Endgame, the IP became as invaluable as first-edition art – treasured enough to be left as is but popular enough to be replicated.

It has been incredible to watch Chris Evans’ ascent to fame. The actor, who is best known for playing Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has grown considerably since his debut in the highly regarded superhero franchise.
Three solo Captain America movies and four Avengers films, as well as several other MCU productions, featured the Fantastic Four star as Steve Rogers/Captain America. Avengers: Endgame marked his final appearance as Captain America in 2019.
However, did you know that getting cast for the role was not a simple process?

Spoilers ahead for episode 5 of X-Men ’97.
After decades’ worth of patience, X-Men ’97 delivers upon a promise of good television with a near-perfect adaptation of Marvel’s mutant superheroes. The series, which recently took the entire world by storm, represents the hope carried by fans since the original show’s run in the 90s. Although nothing ever quite became as iconic as that period’s cartoon when it comes to Marvel animation, X-Men ’97 comes pretty close.
X-Men ’97 [Credit: Disney+]However, with the series’ mid-season cliffhanger finale, one thing becomes evident – the show certainly knows how to raise fan expectations. But one factor which could have made the series uber-popular ends up being a misdirection, and even though the plot twist manages to shock the audience and leave them with questions, the show’s director does a good job too of crushing those dreams and expectations in one swift blow.
