Sex & Nudity

  • Two zombies, which are both impaled by a broom, can be seen having sex (unrated version only). No nudity visible.
  • Uncle Les attempts to force himself onto Paquita, but she's able to stop him by throwing a box of powdered soap onto his face.
  • A zombified priest caresses a zombified nurse's thigh. Played for laughs.
  • Two zombies are seen kissing but they are broken up by a man.
  • There are references to rape and molestation, (and in the unrated version, necrophilia).
  • A man urinates on a person's grave.

Violence & Gore

  • Aside from the "rat monkey" creature, which is clearly made from stop motion animation, most of the gore effects and makeup are very realistic-looking, even considering the film's low budget.
  • The uncut version of the film features several minutes of extra gore.
  • A zombie is stabbed with a lightbulb, causing its entire face to comically glow.
  • A man has his chest clawed open by a zombie, before pulling his skeleton and organs out all at one time.
  • A zombie forces its way through a doggy door, causing it to split in half from the waist down.
  • A pile of entrails and bones comes to life and attacks a man, but he escapes. The scene is very comedic, with an intestine's rectum even farting at one point.
  • A woman's head is completely ripped in two. Tons of blood and brain matter splatter all over the place.
  • Two zombies are seen kissing. A man pulls them apart, accidentally ripping the skin around the man's jaw completely off. The other zombie is seen eating the pulled off skin.
  • A gigantic zombie kills a man by decapitating him, and ripping his spine out of his body. The actual death is shown in silhouette. Blood is briefly seen leaking down his corpse onto the floor.
  • The "rat monkey" punches another monkey in the face, then rips its arm off and eats it. The scene is more clearly fake due to the stop motion animation being used, but it's still just as bloody as the rest of the movie.
  • Uncle Les stabs a zombie through the back of the head with hedge clippers, before slicing the zombie's head apart and ripping it off. It's every bit as bloody as it sounds.
  • The upper half of a zombie's torso is thrown into a toilet and flushed down. Blood comically flows out of the toilet bowl.
  • A man slams a window onto a zombie's wrist, severing its hand.
  • The baby zombie tears its way out of a woman's head, and plays peek-a-boo with her torn up face.
  • A zombie falls onto a door that was broken apart. The sharp edges cut into its torso, with lots of blood shown.
  • One of the zombie's heads constantly falls off partially, in an ongoing comedic gag.
  • A nurse has her head partially torn off by a zombie, with blood flying everywhere.
  • It is revealed that a zombie ate a character's dog. Blood and body parts are sprawled out over bedsheets. The dog's severed leg is pulled out through the zombie's mouth.
  • While a man is urinating on a grave, the reanimated corpse punches out of her grave and grabs the man's groin. She then pulls him down, and we see the man convulsing and blood erupt from the grave, before he's catapulted across the graveyard. We see the skin on his torso is completely missing.
  • In the film's most infamous scene, a man uses an upturned lawnmower to kill off a large crowd of zombies. Blood, guts, bones, and dismembered limbs/heads fly all over the place. For a long time, this scene held the record for most fake blood used in a single scene (5 gallons were pumped on average per second).
  • A woman puts a zombie's head into a blender, causing gooey blood to fly all over the place. In the unrated version, she continues to put the zombie's dismembered body parts into the blender.
  • A man has his hand and arm chopped off with a machete. It's also implied he has his head chopped off, but it cuts away before this happens.
  • A woman is bitten by a rat monkey in the arm in closeup, with blood squirting.
  • The "rat-monkey" is killed when a woman squashes its head underneath her foot. Gooey blood oozes out and its eyes pop out of their sockets.
  • A zombie rips a woman's face off, and her bloody skull is shown.
  • The priest rips a zombie's arm off and uses it to beat up the other zombie. He then rips the zombie's other arm off, then kicks both of his legs off and then kicks his head clean off. It flies into the air and you can see what looks like part of his brain flying. A zombie's head falls from the sky and lands on his neck. It sinks it's teeth into his neck and rips it open.
  • A priest is impaled by a statue. It sticks out of his stomach and blood gushes out of the open wound.
  • A man impales his zombified mother in the nostril with a syringe on multiple occasions.
  • A woman is punched through the back of the head and out through the mouth by a zombie. Compared to many other scenes, there isn't nearly as much blood seen.
  • A living man is seen with his legs stripped to the bone. He is still able to move them
  • Two zombies hold a man down. One tugs at his head and his face is violently ripped off his skull. You can see the flesh and bone hidden underneath the missing face.
  • A zombie rips a woman's beating heart out of her chest and holds it in front of her face.
  • Uncle Les hacks multiple zombies to pieces with two meat cleavers. Shortly after, you can see him standing behind a massive pile of body parts.
  • A woman is seen with an open and extremely gory pulsating wound.
  • A zombie's ear falls off into a bowl of custard she then proceeds to eat it. Not gory or violent, but very disgusting.
  • A man smashes a zombie over the head with a vase.
  • The lower half of a zombie's torso is ripped apart. Two characters use the legs to fight off zombies (unrated version only).
  • A zombie is stabbed in the eye with a syringe.
  • A zombie tackles a man through glass.
  • In a comedic scene where a zombie is eating custard, when she swallows it, the custard pours out of her ripped open neck.
  • A baby zombie bursts out of a man's neck. Very bloody.

Profanity

  • A famous line from the movie ("I kick ass for the lord!") contains a dirty word.
  • Moderate language such as "hell", "bloody", "shit", "bitch", and "bugger".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One of the minor character is seen constantly drunk.
  • Some characters are seen smoking and drinking at a party.
  • A man is seen smoking after a funeral.
  • A man is seen drinking at a graveyard.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film's gore is mostly done in a darkly comedic fashion. But there is SO much of it, and it is very detailed, and can easily make people grossed out. This is a squeamish viewer's worst nightmare.
  • Several disgusting gross-out gags involving blood and other bodily fluids that could be nauseating or disturbing for individuals sensitive to such content.
  • A zombie's severed head, while attached to its spine, is swung around and smashed on the floor into bloody bits.
  • There isn't much downtime from the gore, either. Aside from scenes of character development and the scene of the baby zombie in the park, there's almost no relief from the unrelenting violence.
  • There isn't much else in terms of scariness other than the substantial graphic violence. There's no psychological tension, and very few jumpscares.
